I've been there. With RTR Projects, small czech squad with black KTM (#89). Our driver (we know each other from school years) won both races in AM category and managed TOP 3 overall on both races. It was epic! He is still leading AM championship after rounds in Red Bull Ring (DNF and P1) and Dijon-Prenois (P2 and P1).

Was wondering why the KTM sounds so much like the audi V10s so i googled it and it turns out it has an Audi 2.5L 5 cylinder engine, that would explain it

6:21 I never got to hear the GT2 Mercedes this clearly before. Seems like I wasn't missing out on much compared to the GT3... In all the GT2 races I've seen so far, the Mercs and Porsches are just drowned out by the V10s

it's essentially this, i saw them in dijon just a few days ago and you couldn't hear anything when the R8s were on track. The KTM could be heard just before it shifted, it seemed to do some noise in the high rev range. The Mercedes was essentially muted, and the Porsches weren't nearly as loud as you expect a Porsche to be.

That's exactly what I was thinking. It'd actually be really interesting to see how these cars are compared to the gt3's. I know gt3's have less hp but way more sophisticated aero, so it'd be cool to see how that effects the overall lap times, I'm sure higher top speed would be good on the straights, but I bet the gt3's would still be at the advantage with all the corners.

What is actually difference between Gt3 and Gt2? And yes, is Gt2 near its end or there is plan for them in future?

Lap-wise, the GT3 holds the edge in terms of aero. The GT2 has more grunt (horsepower), so higher top speed. And no, GT2 started not too recently (not the ones that the soon-to-be-phased out GTE class were based on). Eventually, the GT3 would get to the point of being too expensive to run and would be phased out. EDIT: Put it simply, GT2 is meant to be slower than GT3.
