It's not the car. It's the drivers. Those guys can drive. You'd be surprised how capable a car is on a track if a driver knows how to access all of it's performance. Like the OP here. Guy has a GT4 but can drive the hell out of it and overtake AMG GTR's and Lambo Hurracan Performante's on the Ring.

I didn't know you could go straight for another lap, even after watching a bloody million ring videos ! Great driving, too. Contrary to some comments, the high beams don't bother that much. I see them more as a "watch out, coming in hot" rather than "move out of the way peasant".

It's not courage and confidence. Yeah those things help but what matters most is a thing called skill. This guy can DRIVE. And I am glad he takes his GT4 out on the track. Most people with nice cars just keep them all garaged up because they're an "investment". Fuck that. Drive that thing like it was meant to be driven. Not just make it a garage queen, cars and coffee show car or mild mannered boulevard cruiser.

Good skill breeds confidence, otherwise it is just ignorance (in the guise of confidence) to be pushing that hard. Courage is what is required to drive their own prized possession as hard as their confidence permits. Every good driver knows, despite your good skills, when driving at or near the limits something can always go wrong and it may simply be bad luck against you or some egostitcal moron who tries to overtake you in their significantly cheaper car trying to proof something. Easy for someone who doesn't own high end cars to criticise those who don't take it on the track. Perhaps those who own high end cars don't take it on the track because they cannot handle the car on the track nor have the skill. I call that smart for not being stupid because if they crash their cars, I bet keyboard warriors will be the first to jump at the chance at saying, money don't buy skills. Then you might question why buy such a high powered machine without the skill to handle it, well, its their money their choice. Even if it was just garage queen or C&C, at least they put on a show for those who like to see. If everyone only took their high powered cars to the track, then C&C will be damn boring place to be. Those who "Invest", again, their choice because we live in a capitalist society where there is plenty of GREED.

Thanks! 🙏🏻 The 981 or 718 GTS? It’s never to late. You can still put on option on for the coming 718 GT4 (be quick though and don’t take no for an answer to quickly. Just hop dealers.) or get an 2nd hand 981 GT4 👍🏻

One of the main gripes of the GT4 is that it's geared too high. There are aftermarket solutions on how to fix it but yeah the gearing is a problem with the car.

+Rafy_a Hi. Thanks. You need to have the Sport Chrono Package option. Then start the lap timer and voila it jumps on the GPS screen automatically. It will record the layout of the track while driving. You can then load that lap and store it as reference and then the complete track shows up with colors if you are going faster or slower than the reference lap. Greets!

+matthew deng Hi. Welcome! About once or twice per from from April to October. Nope, I just use the stock semi-slick Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 road tyres that come with the car. I drive 2 hours to the track on the road and back home after lapping. They are fantastic.
