I am in the process of earning all GTA trophies. I returned after I abandoned the game in 2014. And so far, I enjoying the game much more than expected. There is a lot of grind, but the missions are varied and the world feels alive. I now get, why it is such a beloved game. I only need the 70 Gold medals (I got around 45 already and I will check out the guide you mentioned). Online is a little bit more. I am rank 49, and I need 30 Platinum medals. A tip: The Backseat Driver trophy is very easy, if you choose the «Criminal Record» map. The race track is in a circle around the prison. Set the laps to 1 and you are good.

I play on Xbox and attempt to get every game I own (digitally or on disc) up to 50% completion after I complete the main story + DLC. I feel like reaching the 50% margin makes me feel like I got my money’s worth from it. Although, with games I love and consider to be my favorites, I go for the 100%. This lets me enjoy the games I own and have fun with the ones I enjoy playing.

If you've already put in the work for the Online-related trophies on PS3/4 but don't want to do it again for the PS5 version of GTA5, you can import your character to the PS5 version and any online trophies you unlocked with that character will automatically unlock again, including the rank 100 one if you already had it.

Also, if you did all the stunt jumps in online, the trophy also auto pops when transfereing the character, allowing you to get all the trophies and only having to do 25 stunt jumps to get 100%

Online is all that is holding me back from the platinum. I’ve done all the single player trophies but never really played online much, so I’ve got a huge grind ahead, plus it’s hard to find players for Jobs like Rally and Survival.

GTA V is one of my favorite games of all time. Since it was released, I've 100% the game on literally every platform except for Xbox One and Series X|S, yet as much as I'd love to get the platinum, I just cannot be bothered with the online mode. Not only do I not like playing with other people (especially randoms), but the entire game mode just isn't fun. It's tedious and feels pay to win. It ends up feeling like a job, except instead of earning money, I give money. That's why I'll probably never platinum the game.

I worked my tail off to get all the singleplayer trophies, and while I have a select few of the Online ones as well, I really have no interest to grind the rest of them. I don't enjoy playing GTA Online or the jerks going around killing everyone on sight, and ultimately that is what's going to keep me from ever getting this platinum trophy. I've made my peace with the fact.

2024 here: I’m close to the Platinum, but I wanted to share with the community that trophies that were reported 10 years ago as being bugged, and in need of being in free roam mode, still happens to this day. I.E., the leveling trophies and, most importantly, the DECORATED trophy. Be very mindful of the latter (DECORATED) because there is a limit to the free roam attainable platinum medals. Do your study and have your 30th happen in free roam. In my case, it was the parachute drops (less than 40 meters). GL!

Just finished getting all of the online trophies. Definitely time consuming but playing with a couple friends made it fun. Most annoying for me was getting back seat driver trophy. Highly recommend playing whenever there’s a double or triple RP week. Going to enjoy the single player now.

Update 11 months later: I lost access to my PS5 and couldn't play for several months so not done yet. Prior to that though, I reached 100% in story mode but still had Online trophies left. I just got fukt i started collecting the UFO and letter scraps before the Merry-weather Heist it gave 49/50 letter scraps I even went back to every single and it’s still missing.. I actually did it naturally, you see I used to speed run a lot the Cayo Perico heist, and most of the time during finale and some of the preps, being in first person is more beneficial and when I got it and checked what's the description, I was like "Did I actually play that much time on first person? Steal cars off npc's sometimes you get a message saying you messed with the wrong guy. Then you will get a bounty put out on you 👍

I got all doomsday trophies. it took quite a long time cause the friend group i did it with wasnt awake and on xbox that often. and the act 1 up to the final was so long, nobody ever joins the preps but they rush in for the finals of the act. At least half an hour waiting n each prep lobby
