The modding community has a pretty good grasp on WHY each of these glitches happens. A coding error sometimes, other times intentional but for unknown reasons, etc. The plane one is a mystery though. Theres no valid reason why fire isnt being rendered properly in there.

If i had to guess it's because the cloud effect shader prevent the fire shader to render because both of these shader are transparent and transparent shader never works when on top of each others at least that's what i encounter when i make my games

the plane is rendered in a different layer then everything else so its overriding any transparent particles like fire. except for NPCs whom are still in the character layer

Tequila-la is extremely flammable. In Online, the agency mission to retrieve a necklace, you can open it and almost torch the whole place with a single molotov. I don't know how the fire department approved the fire inspection of this building. 😅 Luckily the fire can't climb stairs or get on the walls. 😂

The fire in the plane is strange because of the overlapping of two different translucent effects. Normally games use alpha-testing transparency to make materials cheeply transparent, but sometimes more expensive translucency needs to be used to get effects to look right. In this case, the particle textures for the fire are overlapping inside the plane because the plane's interior must have a translucency flag but no translucency mask (a b/w texture that determines what parts of a material show up and what don't.)

Bonus GTA Online fact: Some missions contain NPC's that you can't shoot at, e.g. bystanders at a party. If you want to kill these NPC's anyway because this is GTA you're playing, they catch on fire just like all other NPC's!
