I don’t hesitate to do this mission. Roman did want Niko to get over grudges, but that really only applies to Darko, Dimitri was relentless in hunting down the Bellics and it was clear he’d stop at nothing to kill them. He continued to be a threat so it makes sense to do the Revenge mission, because it’s not really revenge, it’s an opportunity to eliminate a threat.

Exactly. I hate the m or ons who automatically jump to the “two wrongs don’t make a right” statement. It’s not “wrong” to punish someone for their misdeeds, nor is it “wrong” to eliminate a threat to your well being.

Deal has a much better story and ending though. The revenge storyline felt so rushed and anti climactic. It was quite obvious that the deal is the real ending, because of how it was set up by the whole darko story, Niko feeling nothing after getting his revenge. It makes a lot of sense for him let go of his grudge to dimitri and to try working with dimitri for the last time, but of course under a lot of caution because he knows dimitri. Even roman keeps pressuring him to do the deal and that’s what i think made niko to really consider the deal. Him going after dimitri immediately after killing/sparing darko MADE NO SENSE AT ALL. It was pretty obvious that the revenge story was made for people in denial like you. Even the construction and game design of “the revenger’s tragedy” looks like it was pretty well made, unlike “out of commission” which was obviously just recycled from the first ending.

For the record, it does make sense to do the Revenge mission because Dimitri isn’t part of Niko’s past; if anything Dimitri himself has a grudge against Niko. Because Niko kept escaping, Rascalov continued to be a threat and kept hunting him and Roman down. Even if Niko got over Rascalov, Dimitri wouldn’t get over Niko until he was dead by his hand. But you don’t see me rudely telling you that you’re in denial just because you chose the deal ending. I have no idea if it's intentional, but the way Niko executed Dimitri is almost the same way he executed Mikhail Faustin earlier in the game. The difference: Niko capped Dimitri in both legs; he only shot Faustin's leg once before delivering the finishing head shot.

They are programmed to fall of edges of heights if they are shot near one, happens to me all the time. If they initiate the falling program, no matter how small or high the fall really is it will instantly kill them. I got some good laughs out of it

I am unsure if this is intentional or just a random occurrence, but on a number of occasions when I’ve played through this mission if I have not killed all of the Russian gangsters before exacting revenge of Dimitri, there will always be one badly injured Russian who will fall down the stairs when leaving the cargo hold. Very first time this occurrence happened for me I nearly jumped out of my chair as I did not expect that to happen, just as was shown in this video.
