I did it from a point of view that Playboy had big exciting plans for the future whereas Dwayne didn't and was just angry all the time (put him out of his misery as Niko says), this is trying to put yourself as Niko and thinking as you would in real life. I didn't know you get playboys house if you kill him, but do you really need it Roman gets the apartment in that area soon after plus Playboy pays you $25000.

Seriously, he trusted you even after everyone screwed him over and basically lowered his chances of trusting anyone ever again. Your only real reward for killing Dwayne is a quarter of a hundred thousand dollars, or 25,000 bucks. Reasons to kill Playboy are that you get that sweet ass ride of his, you get his loft, you get an outfit that resembles the outfit of the well known mute "Claude Speed" from GTA 3, and Dwayne becomes your true friend. You unlock a special ability from him that allows you to call him for help, and then he sends out his shooter friends, they are useful for certain missions.

Forgot to mention one simple thing. You can use the pistol to execute the X through the window before following him out of the loft. It will instantly TP you to the alley as if you chased him down but you just abused poor R* coding there.

Hey! I was replaying through some of this today and I found out you CAN get X's Desert Eagle (early). If you kill him in the street before he reaches the alleyway he'll drop it like a normal gun. I was trying to shoot the Patriot as I was exiting the stairwell and it automatically locked onto Playboy. I shot him down to about two bars of health and he was squirming on the road. I refocused my fire on the Patriot until it exploded and ran up to him. He was still alive (low health) and the Desert Eagle was laying next to him glowing red for pickup. I picked it up and finished him off with it.

I think I found a shortcut to this level if you chose to kill Playboy. Once you're in his loft, and kill all of his goons, you can get in a position where you can aim at Playboy's head when he's taking cover when he's behind a wall. This will automatically teleport you and Playboy to the alley, and play the execution scene.

If you shoot Playboy with a pistol before he gets to the tunnel you will still see the cutscene where you shoot Playboy in the tunnel

The e-mail Dwayne writes you about being friends : is it available during the mission before you kill one of them? I recently killed Dwayne, and afterwards replied negatively to his e-mail. It said something along the lines of "It looks like you were quite lonely. Maybe your death was for the better.'' Im interested to know the rest of the possible replies (either Dwayne dies or not), since I use one safe file for each city and I cant redo the mission myself without playing the second city from the start.

As far as I know the E-mail is sent only after you kill Playboy... but I will look into it

Yeah, well I was surprised as well. This is my second playthrough and I decided to do all the things, that are moraly worse and reply to all e-mails negatively (apart from the ones mission related). After this, I was interested to know other possibilities, but as it turns out, nobody has actually documented the different types of email replies that exist. On a side note, I already know that this time I will pick the deal ending. I already know what I am in for, and it pisses me off, that Kate cant be dated afterwards, but not because of her choice as a character, which seems pretty reasonable, but because of Rockstar, who decided to go that route. At least, if Kate dies, you can still meet Roman, but if Roman dies, she doesnt even give you a quicky to ease your pain or anything. Even though thats the choice rockstar made, Im just thinking "Selfish cunt" :D Writing the previous passage reminded me of another gripe. That there arent more dialogues between the characters during going to do a friend activity. Particulary, I listened to all the dialogue with Roman and Lil Jacob before the second city opened. So I thought, after something major, for example, Romans house and taxi depot getting torched, Roman would have something to say about that while going to a strip club but no - nothing. Overall, I enjoy this game more than I did the first time, but there still are things that bother me (one of them being the poor quality of the pc port, eye torturing antialiasing issues, etc. ). Also I recently finished GTA III 100 % and maybe its just nostalgia, but I do think that characters and story settings were better in the 3d era (III, VC and SA). If only those games had some of the possibilities in IV, I think I would stick with them and not bother with HD universe. On top of that, the graphics in those games feel more appealing to me as well. Wow, I rumbled quite a lot, sorry :D One last thing - have you heard that there might be a possible gta game with all the cities from 3d era combined? I would actually consider preordering something like that.

Eh. Ivan doesn't really deserve it and becomes a friendly stranger with a normal life after you spare him (and doesn't try to kill you). Playboy's a bitch. The McReary brothers are complicated; Francis is an uptight, careerist, holier-than-thou despite being guilty as sin prick but is probably the most honest of the McReary boys (depending on your definition); Derrick is essentially if the worst parts of Niko and little else, he's a sympathetic character who, like Niko, has seen and done too much for his cause to be able to redeem himself in his eyes, but instead of trying to move forward he continuously destroys himself with H and booze. Killing Francis is like removing an infectious boil from your ass, Killing Derrick is a mercy and overall probably better for the family if he's seen to be killed by something/someone out of his control, rather than going out in his own misery and likely, vomit. Dimitri deserved so much more than his double kneecapping and quick headshot. He deserved the Darko treatment, probably more than Darko did. At least Darko destroyed himself with guilt, Dimitri wouldn't be able to find "Guilt" in a dictionary

i think you can make him fall down and die as he tries jumping to the other roof by turning off v-sync and mixing with framerates or something. i remember him falling to death once when i played without vsync, and i aswell fell down trying to quickly get my hands on the deagle.
