In 2008 GTA IV was only game that was ahead of it’s time, but for RDR2 i can't say that after watching technological advancement of game engines. But when anybody ask me what game they should play for immersive open world experience i'll definitely suggest both RDR1 & RDR2.

What’s crazy to think that GTA IV and RDR2 have a 10 year difference … and if GTA 6 gets delayed to 2026 that’s almost and entire decade between Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA 6 so I expect a lot from them. And tbh the trailer of GTA 6 isn’t even close to what we all should expect when GTA 6 comes out 8 years after RDR2 and on a completely different console generation let alone that PS6 will be on the horizon by the time that game comes out so there’ll be hopefully another improvement between GTA 6 on PS5 vs PS6

I think GTAIV is more realistic at the water physics against the explosives because in GTA4 you use a frag grenade, in RDR2 dynamite. If you throw a frag grenade in water it can still explode as its sealed, but the fire on the fuse should be supposed to get distinguished by the water, as a result it shouldn't explode
