My best guess as to why the police Gauntlet has the customizaton it does is for a Beat the Heat theme. Basically, Municipal police departments will sometimes take retired cop cars, or other vehicles (sometimes a car acquired from a drug bust) and turn it into a drag racer, which they'll take to their local drag strip and challenge people to literally "Beat the Heat" which would be to beat the police department in a drag race on the drag strip, legally of course, as opposed to taking part in illegal drag races on the street. Sometimes there will also be opportunities for donations or spreading awareness and promoting safety in the municipal area, while giving people a fun outlet for wanting to participate in drag races while not pissing off your local police by endangering the public. That, or the parts were in the game files, and its a low effort way to beef up the vehicle's customizeability, which realistically nobody is going to complain about.

Consider if you will: Cops and Crooks gets released to GTA Online, adding the ability to transform new/existing vehicles into Custom Interceptors similar to Benny's/HSW upgrades. Interceptors would be able to match performance with higher-end cars and drop EMP and Spike mines, as well as _buff_ Spike mines to allow them to shred Bulletproof tires.

The unreleased boxville is an LSDWP vehicle that used to appear on old gen in singleplayer but, for some reason they removed it from spawning in the traffic just like the Bati 801 RR. Anyway we already have a LSDWP Boxville that has been added in the casino heist but that one can still be found in storymode.

Man, It would be amazing if the GTA online community would convince Rockstar to give the Holiday phantom and trailer as like a reward for participating in the event or something. I wouldn't mind driving across town to pick it up from pegasus(although a pegasus rework would also be appreciated). Rockstar adds alot of cool stuff in the game but only uses them in limited time stuff such as the Holiday truck and the krampus outfit for the upcoming holiday event. I just think it would be nice to have them and utilize them more, especially with the time taken to make them.

Surely the Gauntlet Interceptor will release the week/month of the Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid - one would hope R* also add a Vespucci Job Remix where you can use your Personal Police Cars and maybe even an LSPD-themed version of Entourage that month. Even though it's dripfeed, they could still treat it as an "update" - since we know there's a 30th Career Progress Tier waiting to be added. Has that been datamined yet, do we know?

the main reason they cost so much is because of the effects they have on NPCs which this does not showcase... civilians pull over to allow emergency vehicles (including these cop cars) through... they don't stop, they just drive on the shoulder rather in the middle of the road, making passing much easier

I’m sure Ghille already knows this, but all these vehicles are available to GTA online players on PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. All the unreleased DLC cars (including the Cadillac) are available because players on PlayStation 4 used SaveWizard force the unreleased DLC cars in their garage, and then migrated to the new generation consoles. The only vehicle that can be bought through the LS Car Meet is the Cadillac, I’m guessing, because rockstar had to take it off the blacklist in order for the NPC’s in one of the contracts to drive it. However, all the other vehicles, while available, are only able to be received via a Give Car to Friend glitch I’m not really sure why Ghille didn’t mention this, as Xbox new gen posts are flooded with people trading these vehicles.

There is also the park ranger granger as well, but that seems to be tied to an event regarding wildlife in GTA online so I'm guessing that's next gen only unfortunately.

You can actually get it in Online on all platforms. It's tough and boring, but you basically have to ride near the river (from top of the hill (not MT Chilliad) to the bridge) in the area where the Yeti even is in a regular car/chopper (No Toreador, MK2 or any of that) and it will spawn. It can take up to an hour though

The impaler SZ is Ice Cube’s Impala SS from the movie All About the Benjamins which took place and was filmed in Miami. Btw, FHP colors aren’t flat. They’re glossy and I’d have to look at it again but I’m pretty sure the darker color is not black but brown. I’m pretty sure of it

actually, the reason for the insane price is the sirens effect. with sirens on NPCs will drive on the shoulder, allowing you to pass them more easily.
