@@mrpineapple3655 it is reasonable, planes aren't made to be precise with mg, i can understand if maybe its a plane with vtol so you can be more precise but machineguns are almost useless in dogfight, same with missles, apart from taking down planes, you must master very well the aim because homing missles aren't that good, they can hit a car if you're behind it or at the side but not from the front and its very very hard to kill players on foot with it

Those cons that you stated are absurd. 1. No explosive cannons. So what? The Pyro’s machine guns are so powerful that they can destroy aircraft in seconds. Who needs explosive cannons when you got powerful machine guns? 2. Guns are wide and innacurate. Not really. Since the Pyro is a very good dogfighter the guns shouldn’t be hard to aim. You just need to stabilize the Pyro, aim and take the shot. 3. No bombs. This thing is a fighter jet, therefore it’s made to engage aircraft, not ground targets. Also it’s too fast for a bomber. If it were to drop bombs you would 4. Co- Pilot does nothing. You literally stated in the video that the Pyro is the only fighter jet in the game with a co-pilot. And that he can take the fighter over if you parachute out of it. That’s something the co-pilot can do: prevent your Pyro from being lost once you get out of it. Then he can just land and then you can reassume as pilot. Pyro would be OP if the pilot had access to some kind of built-in cannon. The Pyro is already good as it is.

Watching a few of your reviews i can tell you dont really know much about planes. Pyro is a Fighter jet, alongside rogue and molotok, which means they are good Air to Air while Hydra and Lazer are Attack aircrafts which is Air to Ground, Attack aircrafts as in real life can dogfight but ofcourse not as good as a fighter. So if now Pyro would have explosive cannons it would mean its faster, lighter, more agile and more powerful than a Hydra or Lazer, that would make every other plane obsolete. The way it is now atleast balances it out since it can defeat any aircraft in air combat without explosive cannons. Also in dogfights you use cannon camera not 3rd person.

ESPirits87 The rogue isn't a fighter jet, its a combat designated propeller plane. Jets are also planes, but we call them jets because of the combustion engines (often called a jet engine or a jet). Jets are different to planes because they alternatively produce thrust via the discharge of gas, and are powered specifically by jet engines Whereas propeller planes have a driving shaft that is linked to a propeller which is instead used to generate thrust. Jets can fly at higher altitudes and much faster because the turbochargers compress air to make it suitable for the combustion engine, whereas propellers require air that is more dense and fly at much lower altitudes. Some more information... "Jets generate thrust by discharging a fluid in the opposite direction of the intended motion. Air enters a jet engine through its induction fan and is then compressed until it attains a high pressure state. The pressurized air is mixed with fuel and combustion occurs. Heated gasses leaving the combustion chamber drive a series of turbines and are rapidly expelled through an exhaust nozzle, producing forward thrust."

Primal i meant that Rogue is a Fighter not a jet, im well aware how everything works, its a fighter due to its role, its not designed to take out ground targets due to the cannonfire is spread. Its agile and puts it on par with Pyro, molotok but also Nokota.

ESPirits87 That's correct, though the rogue does have bombs which can be effective depending on timing skills, despite having a small area of effect. They can be useful against ground targets, despite the limited capacity. The spread cannonfire means that central targets are often difficult to hit, but can be useful for dogfighting as most dogfights result in circling.

Tog the Ribber I've already said it before, Attack aircrafts could be potential dogfighters but are then using a secondary role as Fighter but with reduced perfomance in that role, however with the smugglers run we got more agile planes which serves better in air to air, Hydra and Lazer was best in dogfights when they didnt have any rivals.

Tog the Ribber The pyro is very good, if you want I'll upload a few recordings I made on the PS4. It's honestly one of the best dogfighters in gta online and has become my new favourite air vehicle. The normal machine guns are viable against jets and blow them up in just around 4 seconds which isn't as bad as I thought they would be. Infact I find it easier to use the machine guns than the missiles because there is no risk of flying into your own missiles this Way. I wouldn't call the lazer second best anymore, The starling and rogue especially tend to be a lot better in the hands of a skilled pilot. I'm semi skilled, not the best pilot out there but I haven't lost a single dogfight against a lazer while flying a rogue, only helicopters and oppressors seem to give that plane trouble, the rogue can be easily countered by the Hunter. The Molotok and Hydra are surprisingly the weakest of the dogfighting planes/jets and the soon to release Nokota doesn't need explosive cannons to take out jets because it's machine guns are very powerful.

Biscuit Ben pyro is the best for dog fights and I’d recommend buying it. Starling is good too and has a good boost. So your choice but I’d personally recommend the Pyro

The 'missiles' are called High Velocity Aircraft Rocket or HVAR. That may be why they are faster in the game too. And that may also be the reason why the plane is called Pyro.

No they aren't. HVARS were unguided air-to-ground rockets used in WW2 and Korea. The Pyro is based on the De Havilland Vampire, a British jet put into service in 1946. The missiles seem to be based off of Britain's first widely used guided air-to-air missile, the Firestreak Missile, used from 1957-1988. This doesn't add up though as the Vampire was never designed or used with guided AAMs, instead carrying unguided RP-3 rockets. So it seems that R* messed up on this, as usual.

I have the pyro it's a very good dogfighter and jet in general and It's turning radius is the tightest..but starling has the tightest circle so it will get behind pyro but requires more training than pyro..also pyro requires training for circle as it's not easy as lazer circle the angle shouldn't be 45 degree but less than that maybe 30 degree otherwise it will go up or down.

I killed a lot of players with this plane... its homing missiles are far more aggressive than the lazers or hydras... if you nose dive down in first person you can also kill ground players with the normal rockets! and another cool thing about the pyro is that you can almost hover like with the hydra (put your landing gear out and loose speed with L2)

the starling is a german gliding aircraft. when they signed the treaty of versailles they stated that they couldn’t manufacture planes. the starling is focused on bombing because of how slow it can go. the pyro would be way to fast to bomb in a logical sense.

I have a rogue for an aircraft at the moment and when I’m fighting a mark 2 I will give people tips. The mark 2 has slow climb and down speed so I fly up at a 90 degree angle and I can do two things. 1 Run away and they can’t catch you 2 Dive bomb back down and shoot crap at em, if they fire use countermeasures and then repeat. Eventually they can run out of missiles which is when you get very aggressive

The reason the rockets are faster is because it's the same projectile used in the APC's "SAM" turret. It's the third type of missile in the game. The Hydra just uses the default RPG rocket. Some vehicles use the homing missile from the Homing Launcher, (Like the Rogue and SAM AA Trailer.) and things that shoot rockets and were added before the HL was released use the basic RPG missile. (Like the Buzzard and Lazer.) All you have to do is record the rockets and slow the footage down to see the missile type used. (I may very well be wrong about the HL missiles being used for anything but the HL, but it's a logical assumption.)

I think if you really want to test a vehicle's gun / missile, don't do it in a dogfight like that. Just test in a stationary position, we're just checking its power anyway. Testing it out while the target is moving affects your perception about its power. If we're talking about effectivity / reliability, then a dogfight is the right choice. 2 separate tests should've been made in my opinion (one is for power alone, no moving targets and the other is its reliability).

Best fighter in my opinion. Good armament, excellent speed, can fire rockets without delay and small size makes it hard to hit. And it looks visually amazing, with that modern style.

IMO this is one of, if not THE, best vehicles in the game. It's ridiculously fast and it's able to counter Oppresor Mk.2s with ease. I bought one the other day and I've already downed countless mk2s and hydras and have only been killed a few times in the beginning. Once you get the hang of it this plane is well worth the money.
