Machine guns that are non explosive are so underestimated they destroy jets and just because hydra and laser has explosive does not mean it's obsolete and it is worth it.

Epicenter Gaming that's where the fast fire rate of missiles comes in as on normal passes of other aircraft I can get like 10-20 missiles on them plus the pyro is manuverable as hell but at the end of day all down to personal opinion.

A jet that moves better will beat the Hydra regardless of whether it has explosive rounds. For use against people on the ground though - yeah, the Hydra obviously is better thanks to the cannon.

Everything has weakness and a strength. You get explosive cannons or being able to spam missiles, not both. And its usually offset by something else. Like in cars its either bomb proof or bullet proof.

After testing it whole day i can say that this is the new king of Air to Air combat, Hydra / Lazer is better to Air to Ground combat. I encountered several Hydras and Lazers and shot them down easily, i would say that the cannon is on par with Buzzard, after a few hits the Lazer started to smoke so it's not hard to beat people with this plane, Hydra / Lazers can't get into shot range of this plane, so it doesn't matter if they have explosive cannons. It's also very stabile on ground you can accelerate and turn and never tip it over, it can also fly really slow if you tap the break fast, it can almost stand still in the air which is pretty cool for a non VTOL plane. Verdict: I would buy this plane if i had 15m or more, if i have 15m or less i would wait for discount, this plane will serve you right in the Air, and it feels safe to fly because noone can really beat you.

I know this video is old but just an fyi in case new people don't know: This is the best dogfighter in the game. It doesn't need explosive cannons because if you get behind a hydra or laser (especially a hydra) they won't be able to out turn you and you will win.

It's the best jet in the game, and, simply because the hydra has explosive rounds on the machine gun doesn't make it be the best jet in the game. 1st - the pyro has the flares which make you a hard target to get hit by rockets; 2nd - it's pitch, roll, yaw are way better than in any other jet in the game, which makes you a hard target to get hit by the explosive machine gun on the hydra and lazer; 3rd - it's way faster; 4th - It's machine gun is really powerful as it blows up an un-touched hydra in about a second. 5th - The difference between the trade price on the hydra (3.000.000$) vs the trade price on the pyro (3.350.000$) is worth it, since the only unic feature on the hydra is the VTOL. 6th - 2 months after the release of the pyro it replaced the hydra as you barely see hydras RN. Do you still think it's not worth it???

Yeah, I noticed the handling in the Smuggler source missions. It's kinda twitchy in a way that makes it tough to fly confidently close to buildings and whatnot. I tried all the handling settings and I found sport to be a good balance because limiting the handling doesn't really make the sketchy controls go away and you just wind up limiting it. As far as air combat goes it does turn good and I was able to shoot down 2 buzzards and a Hydra and I suck at air combat but the tight turning and the ability to spam missle S gave me the edge I needed. The Buzzards would come straight at me which made it difficult to shoot them with guided rockets but if you can get close and keep turning into them eventually they'll make a mistake allowing you to get behind them and get off several missiles. The co-pilot feature btw is good because in the Molotak I get shot down against Hydras when I try to use my countermeasures and maneuver at the same time. Hydra pilots can use guided rockets to slow you down so they can get close and use their cannon but having someone doing flares for you makes it easier to maneuver and focus on flying the plane

I find with handling, its best to choose the smooth option as opposed to race on the more agile craft. Means you turn much faster than stock, but its a lot smoother than the top tier race handling.

Yeah, i bought it cuz i got it like that, BUT.....if ya dont and already have a Hydra , V65 or Rogue, dont bother. Like Saints says, when it comes to dog fighting nothing can compete with the cannonized planes....one lucky strafe from cannonized aircraft its over, missiles will never hit against any decent pilot doing the merry-go-round maneuvers. Need to nerf Hydra and Laser or make cannons available on ALL weaponized planes

For starters the hydra is the most versatile leaning more towards being an attacker than a fighter. What makes the pyro better than the hydra is that its performance is overall better and if you can get behind the hydra there is no escape. Use a missile as pressure then pick at its engine with the cannon. The cannon is not bad its just everyone in gta loves splash damage because they dont know how to use certain things.. Not only that the hydra is a bigger target to hit while with the pyro you can do any quick bank or spiral and they cant hit you because the pyro is so small and nimble.

Very inaccurate review. Pyro is an excellent counter to the Lazer and especially Hydra. Pyro has a tighter turn radius than either, creating a significant advantage in dogfights.

If pyro pilot who can fly will go against hydra pilot who can fly, pyro will win all day. Its handling is so much better than hydras so hydra cant even see pyro. And those pyros cannons will blow up hydra in like 2 seconds. So if you are looking best plane for dogfighting, buy pyro. It can even dodge deluxos missiles pretty easily.

actually the Stirling rekts the hydra. It goes slow enough to turn way fast and be behind them the whole time, and if they are good at dodging the rapid fire missiles it has, the machine gun does some serious damage if you land the shots. I have won every fight against a hydra in that thing. I'd say that's the most worth it one, even though sometimes it's a little annoying to fly lmao
