I played on Classic Lighting with 100% Brightness and only 15% of Contrast, and the result was better. But the Saturation (and yeah green) was bit much..

You're comparing classic lighting on the DE to the PC version...when you were supposed to compare the lighting to the original PS2 version (which was the very first platform to release this game).

The Classic Lighting in DE was nice and all, but nothing, and I mean NOTHING can beat the originality of the natural aesthetic of PS2's atmosphere and lighting. The PS2's orange haze during sunrise and sunset will always be the most satisfying thing to see. It really sucked you deep into the game's atmosphere, as if you're really there, following CJ in his adventures.

About the sunset in original. The sun sets in the Southern west and rises from the Southern east which proves that earth is round and also California state is in the north which made sense.

If you think about driving to the desert from LA, it’s not directly north, it’s actually northeast. So, it’s likely Rockstar positioned the sun based on the real-world location and left it as is. Adjusting it would’ve required flipping the map or the sky, which would’ve been extra work. Especially on the version of the renderware SDK they used.

This is because today's stupid generation takes everything new as the best nonsense. In the video, it's nice to see that the new version absolutely does not catch on to the OG. The atmosphere is unreal in the old version. And above all, the effects look much better than in the update. I've played the definitive edition now and even though it's a step in the right direction it still feels like I'm playing something sterile. And OG Resi 4 is better than remake. Yes, the remake has better controls, but on higher difficulty the enemies do not react to shooting at all. OG Resi 4 the player has to stop to shoot but the gameplay has been adjusted for that as well. The boss fights were much better as well as the dubbing. OG Krauser is by far the best. The whole vibe is just better in the OG version. But the remake is great. I like the extended lake area and also the mine cart ride, but on the other hand, it got a lot shorter.

Yeah agreed, though there are some parts of de that is just bad compared to the og. Id actually prefer the og water than de unless they fixed de water to actually use cubemap reflecrion like in gta 5 than just plain screenspace, it just looks bad especially when the sky is out of screen you can see a black water lol. Also rain particles looks bad, cum rain. Not even puddles are present. Physics are worse and the ambient occlusion is god tier garbage. I like des technical graphics like real time shadows, new draw distance, and reflections n all that. But the atmosphere is kindof a downgrade from the ps2 one. If they ever update it which is a distant wish, i hope they make it like rdr2 which to me is what gta sa has invisioned its atmosphere to have with lots of fog n all that

With the de water, they should've made the sky reflections "ray traced" or "cubemap" than just entirely screenspace cuz with that footage, it looks really bad. Though its not thay bad in day time. Ripple effects looks bad tho like they didnt even try to add water simulation just another ripple texture but fancier. Its a shame. Another thing is an actual volumetric clouds, like cmon ;^;
