No Ryder was always meant to betray thing is at the start Rockstar wanted him to betray after CJ and Sweet are arrested, just like OG Loc, and CJ would have found out about Ryder's betrayal only during "Photo Opportunity". But when they completed the game Rockstar felt like Ryder was too important as a character and that the player would have wanted to know earlier what happened to him after knowing Smoke had betrayed CJ and Sweet so they added Ryder in the cutscene the green sabre and a few dialogues to make it seem like Ryder was always a traitor just like Smoke and then also made the introduction to the game with a scene of Smoke convincing Ryder to join him before CJ gets to Los Santos.

I like this. However CJ would never dethrone Sweet like that, ever. CJ did argue with Sweet sometimes but never reprimanded him for calling him out for leaving the gang and letting Brian die because he knew deep down that it was his fault. If CJ was a buster and a traitor, he would have abandoned Sweet during the Green Sabre mission and taken over the Grove Street Families but did not.

Yay, Hernandez got to live in this timeline. Dude is literally the main reason CJ survived High Noon. Yeah, he did go along with them for much of the game, but he was gathering evidence of their corruption and crimes as well. He's the main reason Tenpenny went to court. The riots were because the court found him not guilty.
