If the molotok would have Explosive cannons it would be way to overpowered. Ultra agile, fast Take Off, flaares, endless rockets and you want explosive cannons? It would be the new Hydra Griefer Plane. The Rogue gets Explosive cannons becouse the plane isnt the fastest and the bullets don't shoot death laser beam fast as the Hydra.

Many people really underestimate the machine guns. Granted it doesn't have explosive cannons. Granted the valkyrie cannon would have been perfect for it. But it does make jets smoke pretty fast, and the missiles work well (I would have prefered AA trailer missiles on it though).

Good review but you forgot to mention this planes air-brake ability. This thing can not not only stop quite fast, but it can fly along at a crawls paces. This thing can fly at low speeds that most all planes would stall at. The only plane better in that regard is the Hydra which can completely stop and hover. Also fyi you play Headhunter completely wrong, any missiles can hit those moving cars, even the Buzzard crappy missiles can hit those cars. Where you fucked up was you came at the cars from a high angle. If you slowed the plane down (maybe use the landing gear to make air-breaking easier) and swooped down low to a little above street level, I guarantee you the Molotok would of hit those Headhunter targets. Now I'm not a pro pilot, but I do fly the Molotok a lot when I'm not using helicopters. As such I've figured out some of the Molotok's quirks. And I think this planes air-breaking feature is a huge factor you overlooked.

Patrick Riley It does have some things going for it, but not enough if you had to choose one or the other You can use it for jet air races And it really dominates there with the acceleration between the markers. And its a gas to just fly, if you can spare the money, its a good plane to own. The rapid firing missiles partialy offset the lousy gun. I have managed to shoot a few players down with the gun, but they were piss poor pilots. The gun is all but useless on ground targets, unless you are really good and can pick off foot mobiles. Im a pretty decent pilot, and I've yet to kill a player on the ground with the gun. Dwell time on target to kill vehicles is too long to get a ground vehicle in a single pass. That endless stream of missiles though, unless your opponent is a really good stick... he's gonna have a bad time. I ended up on the defensive vs a starling, while flying a hydra and the stream of missiles he fired at me...it was nuts. i spent an eternity corkscrewing around to break lock on like a dozen missiles just to get out of range. I got him in the end with the cannon after i got out of range, and reengaged on my terms. Its got a faster roll rate than the hydra, or the lazer, so you can change directions quicker than either - but the max rate of turn is slightly lower. So a good hydra or lazer pilot will get on your tail if you fight in the horizontal and try the endless circle routine. It has a far better rate of climb than the hydra, and is at parity with the lazer. So when dogfighting a hydra, fight in the vertical. I haven't taken on a player controled rogue in it, I suspect since i have own both - that the rogue can out turn you, but you can out run it. I'd keep the speed up and try the old boom and zoom vs a rogue Vs a starling the molotok has the advantage in all aspects save acceleration (if he has boost juice) Without boost juice the starling is a sitting duck, I've killed a few of those Its really a pretty decent ride if you have the money burning a hole in your pocket.

For me, The Molotok is more maneuverable than the lazer in a dogfight it can cruise with no thrust in high altitude like a hydra.. the lazer can't do it

A tip I would like to offer for the headhunter mission is to lower your landing gear and use a little air brake when you come up on the target. The jet will slow down and almost float in the air making it easy to rapid fire the targets. You will need to pull up a little to keep it level. Once they are dead, replace the landing gear and take off. After some practice I have found this to be my favorite jet. I hope this tip helps.

It takes 3 homing missiles. It can take off from street in 1 minute and also can do hard landings. With the drop tanks equipped, it will make it easier to land the molotok. 100% worth it for hangar land sourcing missions.

Out of every plane and jet, the molotok is the most stable, no air friction, and unless you accidentally nudged the thumb stick, or pointed it to high, it ain't going off course, also, it's a great offensive weapon for mk2's, unlimited rockets, you can only have 30 counter measures so just keep 'em at bay until they run out, and you win

There definitely should have been an upgrade for the molotok to give it the explosive cannons.. not even the rapid firing ones like on the lazer and hydra, but the slower firing ones on the rouge.. that would make the molotok an amazing plane with its agility, good firepower to compensate for no bombs, and countermeasures... sadly it’s, as you said.. a wasted opportunity and I doubt we will see the molotok getting the explosive cannons it deserves

before I bought the B-11 strikeforce I watched his review about it and it seemed to me as it was the best jet in the game so I bought it, when I watch the review again for some reason it feels as if the B-11 strikeforce is complete garbage. Same happened with this Soviet cold war era MiG-15

@@dogogamer212 The MiG 15 has wings that arent as swept back, the biggest difference between the 17 and 15, is that the 17 longer swept back wings while the MiG 15 doesnt. Hard to tell since it's only an interpretation by rockstar.

as weird as it sounds, maybe just one explosive cannon but fires slower, because the Real MiG-15/17 had a 37mm NR-37 cannon which is a beefy gun, but had a slower rate of fire than the two 23mm cannons

In my opinion it’s not worth it. Without trade price it costs over 4 million and even with trade price its 3.6 million. No explosive cannons or mg, inaccurate missiles, but really spammy with the missiles. I think the hydra is much more worth it because it costs less and gives practically the same thing. However it has the absolute butt smacking weapon ever, the explosive cannons. The cannons alone would arguable cost at least 800k if it didn’t come with the hydra.

Tbh the molotok and the p45 nokota are very similair planes in terms of performance and speed, and the nokota isnt any harder to land, plus I think that the nokota looks cooler kinda like a spitfire

To MiG-15 did not have explosive Cannon's, it had dual machine guns under the air intake in the front, and actually all Jets/planes with pylons on wing/underside are capable of caring bombs to drop just like air to air missiles or air to surface missiles like Maverick or hellfire and rocket pods.

I think the reason why it doesnt have explosive cannons is because the mig 15 is a cold war jet and back then they were mostly using guns still like in ww2 so they didn’t have explosive ammunition until modern times that could be the case
