Improvement to the test : Try to find somewhere without waves, to have an accurate test.

The way water works in gta is, if the exaust is above water level the vehicle will continue to work, if not it will start taking damage. Vehicles with no exaust like the wastelander or the cyclone work differently. Thats why the dump could go that far. If the test was more accurate second place would be the semi truck

But If you try to cross water with a vigilante not in a test, and the engine die in the end, you will count as a ok? This already happened to me with a Vapid Sandking XL, i crossed a giant river with it, the entire truck was into the river, It passed, but after, died.

Electric cars like Rimac and Tesla are actually BETTER in water than combustion engine vehicles, since they don't require oxygen. The battery at the bottom center is enclosed in an air-tight water-tight cell, which protects the electrical components and helps the car to actually FLOAT for a bit.

@Dakotah Skywalker EVs are not better in water than internal combustion engines. It's the electronics outside of that battery and EVs are equipped with a lot of it. Long term, EVs corrodes more with electrical problems than ICE (diesel or gas). Cool story though.

I always use the MOC Hauler. Its fast, so it can go through pretty quick and is a bit smaller so it has a better turning radius and wont get stuck as easily.

Tristan Sure it is. Look at the dump truck. The exhaust was the only engine component above water, it survived. The intake was clearly under, and that’s what should have killed it.

The BF400, kuruma, duke and pariah just to name the first few kept going well after their exhausts were under water and didn't stop until they were fully submerged. I'm not saying it doesn't play a part but there's clearly more to it than that.

Tristan The exhaust has to be completely submerged for a couple seconds without interruption (coming up for air) on any vehicle for it to stall, motorcycles included. When they bob up for air, that allows them to travel farther. My whole point was saying that even tho the intakes are under, the exhaust still lets you drive on
