Hilary King was no doubt the most useless character in the history of GTA. R* incorporates a mission where you're placed in a slow Sentinel racing against Hilary who's placed in a Sabre Turbo, and the story is to beat him so he'll be recruited as the Driver for the bank heist only to die (and rightfully so) leaving Tommy Vercetti to drive anyway. In retrospect, R* was quite cruel to us fans with their logic and missions sometimes. lol

6:04 instead of Hilary just dying on the spot, instead he could drive them away from the police but he could drive them the wrong way (since Hilary is so dumb) around Starfish Island and get get to the Leaf Links bridge. When the police cars are chasing the car, Tommy could do a full aim drive by just like he did on Phnom Penh '86 but instead he is placed on top of the car. Then at the Leaf Links bridge, one of the police helicopter's bullets hit Hilary's head so his body tumbles out during the chase, so Tommy has to take over and use a pay and spray to lost the wanted level and then drive back to Cam's Can Openers. Could have made the mission a bit more interesting. It also would have put Rockstar's skills to the ultimate test as all of what I mentioned is fully capable by the VC Renderware engine.

the way I see it, following his phone call when you complete Copland, Lance decides to secretly plan a way to betray tommy, and when Tommy's empire grows and Sonny Forelli takes notice, odds are that Lance ends up planning the ultimate betrayal (while maintaining a friendly "alliance" with Tommy.

Yeah first time I played the game i was quite impressionable and thinked this was a *cool* heist. Then in perspective as many said this crew ended up to be pretty useless: Phil the veteran gunman don't shoot anybody - Tommy must take care of the guards inside. Cam the master lockpicker see the safe and say he can't open it - Tommy get the manager. Hilary The fast & furious driver just get shot - Tommy is forced to drive the car to get away. and Ken the lawyer didn't prepare the drinks (you don't see a celebratory cutscene) - Tommy is forced to go to the Malibu club by himself to have a good time.

Phil will shoot SWAT agents with deadly accuracy when they storm the bank and Cam finally opened the safe as the part of story line. You still have to do almost everything on your own because you are playing the video game, not watching the movie, right? And when criminals doing the heist for real, what could possibly go wrong like the hostages fight back/call the cops, see the newer version of safe you aint familiar with, the crews got shot down etc.

This was my way of doing the mission: first purchase sunshine autos, get a sentinel and park it there. Then get to the bank and start the mission. Do not get into the bank first. Go to downtown/tommy's house and get a chopper and land it at the back of the bank. After the mission, just race to the back of the bank, get into the heli and go down to sunshine autos. Get into your sentinel with your handmen and get in the pay n spray there, and then go back to Cam's place. Be careful to use another route and not to pass close to the bank as the swats are still standing there.

The spas 12 shotgun is a good weapon to take the enemy out quickly when there's no time before police vehicles coming. If you try to eliminate the hostages, they will try to fight back, so i used the m4 to take them out by shooting them in the legs because they could interfere the autoaim, i so took out the swat members with ease. I kept cam alive to make the victory badass and canon.

I almost died with 100 body armor and 100 health to the swat because I killed all of them except one and when I pressed the shoot button it wouldn't work so the swat guy just racked up shots on me and brought me to 10 health but luckily I survived
