traci beachel I'm not gonna sit here and argue about who the best GTA character is and what the best GTA story is because that's subjective... so this is my last response... we are all aware of Nikos hipocracy... I think that was the part of the story.. he was betrayed by his former army buddy, which caused him to fall into a dead deppresion and the life of crime was all he could do. he's a contract killer and a hitman. That doesn't make him a bad character. None of the GTA characters are evil characters... I mean why do you think they don't add kids to the game? One of the factors is that it won't make sense to go around killing children because that's something that none of them will do (as well as not causing controversy). All the characters have a negative side to them because the GTA characters are criminals lol, but none of them do something too evil like raping. Of course free roam you do whatever you want but that's not really cannon... I don't even see Trevor going around gunning everyone he sees.

I personally loves TLaD for music and vibe, because listening to Run to the Hills while racing Johnny's brothers on highway is something you will expierience only on TLaD, and the metal music while its raining, driving chopper and shooting enemies... I love it

IMO it was an amazing scene. That's what death actually is like - there is Johnny, a cool guy who went through a lot, has friends, a girlfriend, but in one moment his life ends for no particular reason, just out of the anger of some psychopath. Throughout the game you kill tons of faceless NPCs like it's nothing not giving two shits about them. By once it was showed from a victim's perspective.

Actually it’s not close to amazing, due to the explanation of how Johnny got to that point completely ignores everything that happened in tlad and in the ending (The Lost losing the majority of their members, them disbanding, Johnny breaking up with Ashley, them for some reason going all the way out into the desert etc.)

The main reason the characters are more detailed in the DLC's is because of the polycount, they have to restrict themselves to a certain limit of poly's to help the game's performance, (Average for an NPC is around 15K to 30K depending on who it is.) The main character obviously gets a bigger polycount, mainly because you are quite close up to the character majority of the time.

That makes no sense if you're talking about the main characters watch the video and you'll see that Louis and Johnny both had a big upscale in texture resolution and polycount, they aren't going to make you pay for a DLC and put minimal work into the main characters models. Yes, they do look the same, but they have made the characters a lot higher quality, if Nilko was in the DLC he would be retopologized because he's an NPC. (Also I said *Main Characters* aka Johnny and Louis)

I still consider TBoGT one of the best GTAs ever. Yeah, it's DLC, it's shorter than the original GTA IV, but it had a unique flair that truly got me. The style, the nightlife, the music, it DID feel different from GTA IV and TLAD despite being set in the same city and within the same story.

Not really. If you love this game then that’s fine, but this dlc really wasn’t anything special. First off the simple ability to change clothes already was bugging me a little,but I could live with it. 2nd the characters are all really uninteresting the only people who I can remember was Johnny, Jim, billy and clay everyone else was just a support character to make the lost seem more “brother like”. 3rd the dlc made no since at all. A biker can take down an army of police man and break into a full protected prison just to take out one guy. Or when he got on the bike with malcom and shoot his way to victory with the shotgun (forgot it’s name) The story to me at least doesn’t make the slightest since. In the end it’s just a game, if you enjoy it that’s awesome I wish I could see the game in the light you did!

The majority of the characters are really annoying, forgettable, and barely relatable, and the humor is extremely exaggerated. Various parts of the story don't make any sense, like jacking a train with a helicopter, throwing sticky grenades at outlaw bikers (what's wrong with the old Uzi drive-bys?), in which for some reason the LCPD involved a NOOSE tank in that situation too, the helicopter battle between Luis and the LCPD post the museum shootout, etc.

@Naters the problem might be its change in genre. online is more like a MMORPG, which is a lot more grindy in nature, while in single player you can get to the fun part much faster. there is also the recurring problem of power creep and content clearly meant to encourage shark card sales (research, the game urging players to destroy cargo, expensive content in general etc.). honestly, was it not for online, we might have had proper single player DLC or maybe even GTA 7 in the works right now, so i can understand the complaints. personally, i like online. the grinding gives me something to work towards, and the co-op aspect is great when the team is competent, though i understand that not everyone will be into it TL;DR: many fans felt like single player content for shafted in favor of online, and that part of the game is not fun for them, so they ultimately get the short end of the stick and take out their frustrations on online

@@TheLivingThanos think it's the other way around, I think Johnny has the bad ending, he's the one who gets the worst of it, since yes, nothing will be good in Niko's ending, but it came from scratch. Jhonny's story always goes wrong and downhill, all the way is pain, blood and misfortune. Furthermore, he is the only one of the three who dies. besides being a totally ridiculous death, since he spent the last years of his life lost, drugged and weak. Terry actually changed a lot more than shown here. He had both outfits, but he also had another head with a completely different face and a little mustache. Based on early screenshots, Rockstar tried different combinations with the heads and outfits before deciding on his final appearance. Terry was cool and it sucks that his death in GTA V is canon, because I always go out of my way to spare him and Clay.

A remaster of GTA IV featuring all the EFLC content would be great. All the extra vehicles and weapons would be available at once, and Rockstar could patch in the ability to switch between Niko, Luis, and Johnny to play their respective missions, like you can with the GTA V MC's. It could work considering how GTA IV and EFLC are roughly the same timeline and the characters cross paths more than once.

You guys fail to understand how game design works. You can't just "patch" that in, no matter how much work R* would put into it. First, that would require a full rewriting of the game's code. Secondly, GTA IV and the Episodes do not take place in the same timeframe at all. TBOGT starts at the Bank of Liberty heist which is in the middle of the game from Niko's POV. I can go on...

The police car is not removed. It's in the game behind Louis during the intro cut scene of the tbogt while he's outside the bank talking to the press. It's not removed, it's just a cut scene.

The bald guy in GTA IV drives a different bike to Jim, whilst the other character that Jim replaces drives the same bike as Jim. Niko also doesn't kill the character that replaces Jim, he dies in a scripted set piece crashing into train which is referenced in the Liberty Tree article. I'm pretty sure I popped off the bald guy myself to end the mission after that. I wanna look at the game files for myself to see what the other model is called in GTA IV compared to TLaD
