SO much more than a time and workflow management program!!! I absolutely LOVE that you address the emotional "contracts" we make with OURSELVES and others throughout our day! Thank you sir for offering a framework on which to build stability in my ADHD head and world! "The only way out is through!" Brilliant!

This was profound and really heart warming from David. His presence on camera is very uplifting. If I could give only one critical piece of feedback to the video - I feel that background tracks are distracting and take away from the experience. Thank you!

Wow. You've influenced me off and on for maybe 20 years. You always made sense but today you hit deep. Thank you David.

David - this is where I believe GTD holds hands very well with Andrew Mellen's "Unstuff Your Life". Decluttering is often choosing between all the good things that take up space, physical or mental. Deciding what I really want to do - renegotiating those commitments with myself and clarifying my horizons of focus - allows me to let go of those good things that aren't the good things I want to be doing at that moment, and empowers me to prevent more good opportunities from cluttering my life. Your methodologies for GTD and UYL are really sympathetic and even synergistic.

I'm not sure what to make of this video. Can someone explain it as though I'm 8 years old?

Hi Robert. I am a newbie at GTD, but my understanding of the video is that you have the freedom about what to do when you have too many things to do. Firstly, you can just complain as the majority does or you can take decisive actions such as making sense of that long list of pending stuff (which will help you discard or delegate tasks and prioritize others) and then negotiate with yourself and those around you (at home and at the office) about what you can and must do. Those are real actions to face a challenging, long list of to dos, not just complaining (which turns us into victims only). I hope this helps.

Thank you. I'm not sure what kind of state of mind I was when I watched this initially, but kind of makes more sense now. Thank you for your take on the video. I think it may have been just how he presents it in a soft language kind of way. I recently purchased the book "4000 weeks, Time Management for Mortals" , which apparently has a bit of a different take on time management. Just need some time to read it. 😉
