Ash, as time goes on you will find your identity as host. Some of Matpat’s mannerisms may stick around but only time will tell. Genuinely this is super common when a new host takes over. They start off acting very similar to their predecessor but as the show goes on they develop their own style. You can probably see this effect with food theory! (i don’t follow that channel so I’m not entirely sure)

Matt leaving was so genuinely upsetting for me, as he was a bit of a father for me. so when I heard Ash was taking over GTLive, my favorite theorist channel, I was soo happy. I wasn't happy with any of the other channels (except style theory), and i was honestly worried it'd be Tom or some1 I don't even know, so it being ash was a big relief. Being autistic, I hate change so much it brings me to tears. but having Ash (and Sam) makes me feel safe. this channel is my safe place, and I want to say thank you for keeping it comfortable for me

I've really been enjoying the episodes!! I think this has been a fun transition; you have a great dynamic together and are highly entertaining!! In regards to the intro, I like the matpat finger point that you've been doing, but I also think it makes sense for the gesture to evolve as you both become more comfortable :) so maybe, keep the point for a while but it just gets a bit jazzier until eventually you're doing the jazz hands intro?
