I think you're right, and it's a pretty compelling case. OMC doesn't say to "hop in the lake and chill," he says to give it a rest. But the player doesn't do that. They go back into the water - whatever it represents (and drowning seems like a solid connection there).

I think you can apply a bit more importance to Golden Freddy’s AR skin because it was tied to the one and only DLC AR map they made (coincidentally being yet another circus theme.) and if I remember right, you don’t buy golden Freddy’s skin. You earn it by beating the DLC.

I think the reason Golden Freddy is squirming so much in the end is because William escaped. The vengeful spirit wanted it to be forever, but he slipped through their fingers, and they are furious. Typically, Golden Freddy doesn't move at all, almost as if they can't move or it's painful for them to move. Them moving in the end seems like they are desperate and angry that the source of their pain is slipping through their fingers.

@@IDsFantasy Hi. =) Can we really say that we "know" anything about this franchise when virtually every "fact" just raises new questions? There is an important pattern in all of this that everyone is aware of, but nobody really takes into account in their concerns: Except for "Ruin" and "Help Wanted 2", which is based on Ruin, everything comes by now from unreliable narrators. And that is also the reason why I am not including the books. They are NOT Cawthon's way of shedding light on the darkness. They may offer possible solutions, but that is not the reason why they exist. The books exist to be sold, not to enlighten. You do not ensure the sale of the next book by solving every mystery, but by making sure that every answer only raises new questions. That is how you keep interest high. I think initially Cawthon, who simply threw things at the wall to see what stuck, wanted to go the supernatural route and give Afton mind control via electronics, but I also think that Steel Wool probably brought the more down-to-earth approach of AI to the fore. That's why I think, that Glitchtrap is more like a digital copy of Afton's mind, if not already the Mimic pretending to be who he mimics. But that wasn't my topic. What's been puzzling me the whole time is: How did the endo-skeleton get into Springtrap? It couldn't have been in the suit when Afton was springlocked, could it? So, who stuffed it in there? Or did it fit itself into the corpse, cause it can adjust it's form and is in some way "aware"? I suspect Afton and the Mimic have had contact at some point. I even suspect that the Mimic observed him/learned from him. What if... Afton actually died after being springlocked and at some point later the Mimic crawled into the Golden Bonny suit to wear Afton, who was wearing the Bonny suit, as a suit himself ... to fully become 'him'. Could also explain why Springtrap seems so "tame" in FNAF3. Could also explain Glitchtrap, cause the consciousness was already digital. Whatever all the "-traps" may have once been, in the mind of Cawthon or even yourself, I think that the introduction of the Mimic consciously and intentionally challenges all of that. We know it is old, but we do not know how old. We know, that is was under the Pizzaplex for a long time, but what is the definition of "long time" in this case? We know, that Cassie knows Gregory, but do we know if that was really Gregory in Ruin? We assume it. We assume a lot.

You know, now that you mention it, yeah, the details in Frights is as if it was written by R.L. Stien, and Tales is like it was written by Stephen King. Like, CTW left on a cliffhanger, and turns out, Millie dies, but in Under Construction, the main character (Idr her name) is in a fate where she FEELS like she's suffocating under the weird gel babies, their bodies filling her nose and mouth, and she won't die. I feel like all the instances of ppl HIDING (or being hidden *sister location*)inside of springlock suits is important to note. What if the vengeful spirit was either trying to hide out of fear OR trying to stay after hours because they didn't want to go home in the golden freddy suit and the springlocks triggering then. Or William finding them and being like "oh you want to stay? Here, stay forever" and triggers the springlocks.

The thing specifically about the Carnival DLC that set it apart a little bit from most of the skins in the FNAF AR is that this is the First episode of the game episodic content, which if the game was story and was supporting SB in any way, then this is the only piece alongside the emails that we have of it, and given the name " Dark Circus Encore!" And the choice of animatronics for the event is pretty clear that there is something more going on with this bit

We have Foxy, we have Bellora and then Golden Freddy, the heads of Freddy, Chica, Toy Bonnie and Baby are inactive and in clown make up, and this DLC was deemed important enough that it became available for in game currency until the server shut down, so I think is pretty clear that this is not just some random skin

My take on the lake and drowning stuff is that cassidy/ andrew/ the vengeful spirit/ whatever was waterboarded by William at one of the Freddy's locations - probably in a bathroom sink; and the lakes are symbolizing old man consequences (who is probably a figment of the vengeful spirit's imagination or another spirit trying to calm them) reaching out to the spirits through any means possible to help them move on. I do like the idea of the vengeful spirit being springlocked afterward and that mixed with drowning in a sink being enough to give them the ability to UCN William though.

I do think it is important and maybe overlooked that Golden Freddy and Spring Bonnie are both springlocks and that those intrinsically connect them together in a way the other animatronics don't

On the "De we really need to know more on the Vengeful spirit ?" debate : I'd say yes because of his other title. In a Franchise filled with dead child, why would one of them be so peculiar they're deemed "The One you shouldn't have killed" ? That's mostly why I like the DPT video which conclude that VS is Micheal, because of all KNOWN characters, he's definitely the one who'd have the most spite towards William.
