The fact that 3 athletes can’t beat what one athlete made alone make me think how much was outstanding that record and that performance.

Even though this wasn't the usual kinda GTN video I'm used to, I think it was the best I've seen. Reminded me a lot of something from Top Gear or The Grand Tour. Fantastically entering and some really great camera work. Thoroughly enjoyed every second!

I am a marathon runner and willing to participate in coming triathlon. I have no one around me to motivate and teach the technique. And I've recently came across your channel got subscribed and you guys are truly awesome. This is the best video of yours. Love from India.

I love when you guys (and gal) show us a truly raw experience, intermingled with a very professionally produced piece. It's been a pleasure to watch you grow and mature as a family, and it's been a pleasure to be a part of that family. Keep up the excellent work.

I know you were a world class athlete, but we would have hated you Mark if you ran a 2:47 with no training for your first time haha.

I didn't like this video, I loved it. Doing an ironman relay with Mark not having run a marathon before, Fraser on a new bike, Heather without any proper swim training for months. What a brilliant, completely bonkers idea that not only was an awesome challenge but also showed so much of your personalities and how they gel as a team. To another year of this kind of awesome! Thanks guys!

My first experiences of triathlon were in relay teams at 70.3 Mallorca. You really can't beat the buzz of working for and with others. Helps you when the enevitable tough periods set in and gives you amazing pride and energy to cheer on your team mates. Awesome video :-)

that was beautiful AND inspiring! I think that the biggest thing that made me get into triathlon was those powerful emotions that come with trying to get beyond our limits and often not getting there but still summon the will to keep pushing forward... happy new year everybody! cheers!

Nice to watch while I warm up before my indoor bike session . Good effort, now think of being 30 yrs older and doing all 3 yourself:) . 61 yrs old now, takes more time to recover and much easier to get injured , so training smarter over a longer period of time to peak is a must .

I loved that you guys did this self supported and not during an actual event...showed the true spirit of IM distance racing...brilliant

How true for many of us... a start to race for a given position or time falls away and we race for the sheer satisfaction of finishing. Maybe feeling a bit disappointed having not captured a number, but grateful nonetheless to feel alive.

Absolutely inspiring video. Thank you so much. Everyone out there doing 5k or marathons, recreative cycling fondos or competitive criterium, ocean-man competitions or just sprint triathlons, whatever it is that you are training for or doing, must watch this video. This video shows the effort, the sacrifice and the sadness and tiredness of training, and the regardless happiness you experience once you cross the finish line.

Thank you. Love this. Well done for completing and not throwing in the towel. The time nor record doesn’t matter. Would be good to see you try similar team outings at other Ironman, Challenge, or smaller events, varying distances, possibly swapping events around between you. GTN is so good and so motivational, don’t under estimate what you do for us subscribers. We are not worthy. Merry Christmas and all the best for you in 2019. Mark G, Southampton UK.

Great video. I’ve ridden a lot on that island and it can be brutal. The hills are bad, the wind is very tough but the wind stops you from feeling the heat and sucks the energy from you. It’s no wonder the guys suffered so much. Well done.

Can’t believe Mark has never run a marathon. And no way can he DNF after the New Guy kills himself on the 🚴🏼. This video has rightly received lots of praise. You should make this a staple of your content. Maybe once a month. Even 1/2 courses would be good, maybe even better since more people do 1/2s than Fulls. People do these courses-you can show them what to expect. Maybe have a video on a course about a month before the actual race. You can have your product placement. Each presenter gets in a good workout. This is a really informative format with all sorts of upside.

This is a great video from GTN, I think that the way Mark may have been feeling after he knew that the record time was gone is the way I feel on the run after the time I am trying to reach on an Ironman is gone. You really just want to give up. I make myself keep going and I am never disappointed when I finish. This year I am attempting Ironman number 6th and I hope I don't walk on the run. Well done GTN, I really enjoyed this video and seeing all the presenters on the same video since I only seen 2 of you at a time.

I did Lanza 70.3 last weekend and the bike course was brutal. The climbs were manageable but for an amateur cyclist, it was the crosswinds during the descents that got to me. Still managed to finish but I'm not looking to race in Lanza until I get better on the bike.
