New Quintana Roo V-PR I ordered is a Dura Ace 12-speed 52/36 front and 11-30 rear. Otherwise my previous TT bike is a 52/36 and 11-28, and roadie is a 52/36 with 11-32 cassette.

I really like the 50/34 front and the 11/34 cassette. It works wonders for going up hills

I’m planning to upgrade for some more top end speed from 50/34 & 12-27 to 52/36 & 11-23 on my 2x10 drivetrain.

Switched from 53/39 to 50/34 at the front. Best decision I ever made ! Plenty more easier gears which I really needed and sacrificed a couple of high gears which I hardly ever got into.

These two are classic together. Love it. Did anyone else feel really cold watching them out there in the weather?

Great video! I’m the type who doesn’t have patience to learn gear ratios, but definitely understand the importance they have in planning for a race!

In the 90s training camps in Lanzarote, our climbing gear was 39x23. Bigger legs back then!

SRAM offers better choices. Currently using SRAM Force Wide AXS (43/30) with a 10-36 cassette. Much better for climbing.

a 30 inner ring on front is a real game changer - the 30/36 setting is going to get you up virtually anywhere - which is great. I use a 46/30 in the front and 11-34 in the back - but I'm probably gonna upgrade to a 11-36 or even 11-41 at some point, because I live in Switzerland and we've got a lot of short and long steep climbes basically anywhere...

Could there be a follow up video looking at chainline and the difference between a 52/53/54 front ring etc
@lassekarsholt61152 жыл бұрын
Great video! A follow up should be about chain line, to give you a smooth ride!

Gear ratios are my biggest let down because I feel that I am loath to change to small front chain ring when climbing. I know it helps but I try to cycle as fast as I can in the big chain ring especially on long rides over 30 miles

Hi love the video, I have a 1985 Cannondale SR 300 with 52/42 crankset and 10/21 six speed freewheel. I moved to a more hilly area. what you suggest changing to ride easier? Does it make sense to go to a triple crankset or is changing the freewheel enough?

Hi have a flet f75 10 speed 11/25 cassette and 50/34 front rings.. climbing alot of hills and falt roads here in Ireland would 11/28 or 11/32 make my bike go faster
