Howdy I’ve watched quite a few of your videos now because we happen to be putting the same parts on our cars around the same time so it’s nice to watch how you do it before I try myself. I currently have done 1-piece drive shaft, Borla exhaust, pedders coilovers, caster bushings, mishimoto radiator, polyurethane control arms and a build 4l65e transmission. I have a lsxr intake manifold to put on but I’m waiting to buy long tube headers so I can do them at the same time. Anyways I was wondering what your plan is for your next performance upgrades?
@Billy_Ray_GarageАй бұрын
That's awesome! You get to drive it yet and test it out? The headers suck to install but definitely worth it! I have nothing in the way of adding power on the way. I want to strengthen it though. The plan is all new rear(gforce), bigger brakes, wheels and t56 magnum trans. Should see that or part of that in the winter/spring

@@Billy_Ray_Garage yeah I live in an apartment and drive it across the state to my parents house to work on it so every time I work on it I gotta be ready to drive it back across the state in a span of a few days😂

Congrats and hoping you find the problem with brakes.

I hope so too! The last thing I thought would be an issue
@whenniceguysretaliate5619Ай бұрын
@@Billy_Ray_Garage Tell me about it. Didn't think brakes were that complicated, but lately I've been learning a lot. Not to mention, how some mechanics don't know everything and can fix a Wheel Bearing issue "thinking" it's causing a Brake issue. At least, hopefully, that's the excuse. People underestimate how important skilled Blue Collar Workers are and the EVs wont fix this issue. More than likely, it'll make it worse for the average person.

Cold air, over the radiator intake buddy. Cant go wrong, especially since you've now got a mafless, Speed Density tune. Regarding your brake, ABS fault. Have you adjusted the hand brake, cheaked pads for thickness. Some pads have a low wear connection wire. Just thoughts. And hello again from New Zealand
@Billy_Ray_GarageАй бұрын
Tuner said over radiator robs power. Not sure how that happens. Add a few commented saying the same thing. As for the brakes, don't think there is a wire going to the pads. Worth checking tho. Thank for watching from NZ!

@@robirvine2922 to right. There are many brands, but yes, the VCM is what I run on my LS1 04 HSV Clubsport

Definitely look into it. Maybe swap it out over the winter. Just got the car on the road and want to play with it first haha

I honestly do not understand the benefits of mafless tuning. I’ve got the duspeed and went with an ls7 maf for better/more accurate air readings over the ls2. I just have yet to install it as I’m scared to scuf the intake
@Billy_Ray_GarageАй бұрын
I don't understand either. Wasn't on my bingo card for the car. This guy has been tuning for 25 years so he's gotta know something. It's been running great, just needs to warm up a lil before you drive to make it happy

I’m honestly scared to do brake lines after seeing how much trouble you’re having..
@Billy_Ray_GarageАй бұрын
Not sure if it's because I bled the system dry, but maybe try to plug the lines to not introduce air? Only thing I can think of

@@jb6574 yeah I did. I did an automated bleed the other day. Didn't work. Wonder if you have to do it multiple times for it to work
