I'm glad nobody has beat the stick shift record yet this year at 6.84 from Joel Grannas in his Supra. So technically, you can still go faster than these AWD automatic cars in a 2wd stick car. That will probably not ne true later in the even though

Well first off that car uses a different chassis style so it's not that those awd cars can't go that quick becuase there's already gtr's that are quicker, they just can't legally compete and go that quick. Since these cars are using the factory chassis, they're limited to a certain speed and time for safety reasons. Oh and why would you be glad that someone didn't beat the record? Kind of ignorant in my opinion. Also you're bringing up a record that none of those cars are even worried about they're all dct's lol. unless you just wanted to come on here to try and make it seem like these cars are inferior, which is what it looks like to me.

And for competition purposes they are limited in how fast they can run, for a certain weight Nd speed you need to have a certain amount of protection, the gtr weighs so much that they actually shouldn't be even legally allowed to compete. T1 Tony made a video talking about it all.

Looking at the times, the DCT class disappointed.

DCT was the “slow” class but they also had an 8.5 breakout. The #1 qualifier ran an 8.630. The next class up was Pro Street which had a 7.20 as the #1 qualifier. To knock off 1.3 seconds is a substantial difference in power and supporting mods.

So after watching so many of these GTRs in the 9's and how hard they launch and some barely looking under control it REALLY scares me even more that Tesla is dropping the Plaid and Plaid + versions of Model S. So $120k gets you 9.23 1/4 and The Plus for $150k they say will run a high 8. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gIfPaYmQq82gfaM Specs at 2:03 Look at these GTRs and picture a fully equipped sedan running those time or actually faster than many shown here. Any regular Joe doing OK for himself can just drive one off the floor. Point and shoot and the damn thing will probably put down straight tracking 9.20's pass after pass. Don't get me wrong I love it. I want one. Not really any different than someone who never really rode a bike before going out and buying a H2 I guess. Either way we are living in some crazy times.
