Your videos are quite helpful to me! I recently had to retire my 25+ year old machine and purchased a GE top loader that looks like this (2024) and it’s been an adjustment for me after having my other machine for so long, BUT your videos have saved the day, so thank you!!

Kirk thank you for posting great video but I knew 2 blankets wouldn't turn in this or any other top loader!

Comforters are a bit much for top loaders no matter the brand. That's why i recommend front load washers because you can put in bulky items like this and not have to worry about overloading...

Kirk, the one blanket test seemed to do fine, But washing both blankets together in this machine??? not so good!!! The key to washing anything is not to "Pack' the machine tightly because all it will do is get wet but not clean and possibly ruin the machine!!! Like I told you the last time that we talked, I did that one time to my Mother's machine I over loaded it and it nearly shook the house down during the spin cycle which made her look in to see what was wrong??? and then I got the words "Boy if you break my machine I'll kick your ass"!!! Never did it again!!! LOL The capacity my Look big but people have to take in to consideration what they are washing and to make sure that it has ample room for roll over action!!!

The one thing I hate about ge washers is that their very bad suspension we really wanted a ge but they had a test model at rc willey with 16 t shirts in there the moment it started the spin it would bang bang bang then start spinning we got a LG because their suspension is really good

I think you know how to use this washer but what if it shakes so bad it dances across the floor? Yes mine is level.

The snap that does be under the lid for the switch, he tapes that down after disassembling it from the lid

It’s trying but this is too much for this washer. Kirk most of your tested washers CAN’T handle this size load. For you this is just a test to see how the washer could handle that situation but there are people that actually do this to their washers and they expect them to clean there laundry never mind wear down the washer. I’d rather do two loads then overpack one.

@mikemiller58396 жыл бұрын
The annoying sound of the motor is enough for me to say i'll pass. Funny how ge went from a hydrowave to this, we are supposed to be going forward not backwards, (louder not quieter) only ge would make a new model and it be louder than previous.

If this machine can squeeze out 10 years, it would be a success. In the short term, It has been doing fine.
@mikemiller58396 жыл бұрын
Kirk Rivas it's not a bad machine for the price, i emailed ge to see if they were coming out with the gtw860 again since it showed up on their websit again and their response was " the gtw860 was transitioned into the gtw750" that makes NO sense! The 750 has no time saver option, no steam, smaller capacity, belt driven istead of direct drive, no fabric softener smart dispense, and the spin is only 800 instead of 1000, it's not even close to the 860 so ge is full of bs, why would they design a machine and only make it 3 years? Talk about a waste of money...... no wonder they needed to sell to haier. Yet some ge washers have been in production for 20 years. Why does it seem like anyththing is good they discontinue it.
