Nice to see someone doing this right. I have watched a lot of people using the Incra system, then complaining it isn't great when the problem is they didn't follow directions and the didn't take the time to set things up and do test cuts. Clamping the Fixture to the table is very important to ensure it stays perfectly flat while attaching your boards. The slightest tilt forward will throw off all the cuts.

Great explanation, and it's a wonderful way to pass the 15-18 weeks while I wait for my Incra setup to arrive.

I ordered mine in October, just arrived last Thursday! Have finished setting up and tuning (also got the Icra router table,) and will be making my first attempt today! I'm very excited! Hope the long wait turns out to be worth it! I'm relying on this video to help me along. Thanks for posting!

@@srfracer8293 I'm curious... was yours somewhat scratched up like mine? I need to get them to replace the clear lexan too because the sighting line was nearly completely scratched off on mine. Still, it's a wonderful piece of gear!
@srfracer82933 жыл бұрын
@@jasonbarile2014 Mine arrived in good shape. No scratches to the body or to the lexan. It was more challenging than I expected to get the fence squared. I had to use a bunch of adhesive tape as shim on the outfeed side. I got the Wonder Fence as well. When attaching the Wonder Fence to the (finally!) squared Pro II fence, the Wonder Fence is not square to the table.Trying to figure out how to solve that (call in to Incra support), but using the system without the Wonder Fence for time being. Should be sufficient to learn the system and build a box or two.

I want to use 22mm thickness temper .. is it possible to make through dovetail joint using the incra
@GTWoodshop6 ай бұрын
With through Dovetails using the Incra system the timber / stock must be matched to the dovetail cutter you've chosen, its the cutter that determines max thickness so I would say probably.

Another great video. I’ve watched several similar videos on INCRA joinery and none of them, including yours, employ the INCRA clean sweep down draft dust collection and I’m wondering if their is a technical reason?
@GTWoodshop3 жыл бұрын
HI Michael, thank you. With regards to the dust cage, no particular reason. I made one of a very similar design a number of years ago, thought I'd try something different on this table but I'm not over impressed with the rear outlet. I may well go back to the bottom outlet on the next one.......

Hi Graham, why not just user the Incra "centering template" to find your center point on your stock?
@GTWoodshop3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jim, That will work as long as the board is a multiple of 1/16". 👍
@matthewhoare66413 жыл бұрын
Hi Graham,Is your stock 7mm (as suggested on the template guide or slightly thicker based on the snug fit you got after the second test cut for snugness of the joint.Also presumably the drawer front and back could be any thickness,thanks Matthew
@GTWoodshop3 жыл бұрын
Hi Matthew, I went with just shy of 10mm in the end, it gave the right 'feel' for the box.
@matthewhoare66413 жыл бұрын
@@GTWoodshop Thanks Graham,but do the box sides need to be exactly the height of the cutter or is the 7mm as suggested near enough,and happy xmas
@GTWoodshop3 жыл бұрын
Hi Matthew, as I cut half blind dovetails the cutter height only needs to be set so its creates a snugly dovetail as per setting the height of cut in the manual. If you are cutting through dovetails then you 'must' set the height of the bit as per the manual then machine your stock to match the height setting of the bit. Hope that makes sense.
