Back when UE5 started with version 5.1, CPU optimization was indeed an issue, especially for large projects. However, with the latest updates like 5.4 and 5.5, Epic Games has made significant improvements, addressing many of these bottlenecks. It’s important to dig deeper into the features and optimization techniques instead of just complaining the engine offers tremendous potential when used properly!

@@8Paul7 That’s because many games started development with older versions of UE5. The era of fully polished game development, like in the 2000s or 2010s, is over. We’re currently in a sort of experimental phase, where new technologies are being tested and implemented. These transitional phases are necessary but will eventually pass.

@@CGYI-zb3ho I know, and the point is that devs should have stuck to UE4 or better yet their own engines when UE5 was so very not ready and unoptimized. Now potentially great games will be hamstrung by it forever (since it is very unlikely they will get updated to later versions).

I think this game renderes the entire map for no reason and wastes all the resources and framerates. They could optimize it better there is huge potential to conserve and gain FPS without being noticed

if this video is accurate, the game really doesn't look so amazing it would need the best GPU... so yeah I'm quite sure it is simply not optimized. There's much better looking games with lower requirements.

You can see there are some CPU bound parts of the benchmark as even the GTX1080 is not on 99% GPU load... it starts at around 40 to 50sec into the benchmark and continues to approx. 1min 50sec. It can be clearly seen in 1080p epic benchmark results od GTX1080 and n 4k low benchmark results od RTX3080ti.

the game also crashed very often during tests with GTX 1080. Tests with RTX 3080 crashed a couple of times. I hope the developers will fix most of the bugs in this game over time.

iv got 1080ti and ryzen 7700. run pretty smooth with FSR and QuadHD High settings. a little bit high input latency due to fsr3 but playable even its shooter game.. runs amazing with FullHD resolution thou.. and high setting.
