Game relies heavily on upscaling and FG to maintain framerates above 60fps. Luckily FSR3 FG is implemented very well in this game and it works smoothly along with DLSS. (Benchmark valid only for Lesser Zone part of the map) EDIT (Please Read): I am currently like 15h into the main story and I have to point out a major flaw this game has. The game abruptly drops to single digit fps and runs like a PPT no matter your resolution or settings. Sometimes restarting the game helps but most of the time the problem persists. This problem wont occur during your first few hours. I started having this issue after like 14-15h where you have to travel to Camp Icarus for the main story. So whatever results you're looking at in this video is only valid for Lesser Zone part of the map.

What am I doing wrong? I have a rtx 3060, 32gb ram and a i7 10750 and I can barely run the game at 15 frames in some areas on low graphics.

Me too...its hardly to believe this video... first village with npcs and storm and I got 7-15 frames.... Prologue was 100fps. And I got 115w gpu, unlocked cpu and watercooling ....

@@dasberk4971Might be a shader compilation issue. Happened to me only once where the game ran like 2fps out of nowhere. Restarting the game fixed it for me

Stalkers, there is an optimization mod on nexus mods. It helps a lot in my case.. for now I didnt have any drops in first town... Will see later on :)

i just cannot understand how game using inly 4.4-.5.5 vram on ur laptop, because on my laptop its minimum 5,5gb vram on low settings and when its reaching 5,9 its starts lagging

When u load in does all the textures take awhile? And it sucks we have to use FG for it to be stable. Adds ton of input lag.

No delay in texture loading. Just have to compile shaders every time I open the game.

Same situation, my videocard 3060 laptop has tgp 130w, but don't load above 90w and has so many lags and stutter :( cpu r5 5600h with 32gb ram 3200mhz

Without FG VRAM gets maxed out. Can't even get a stable 30fps on Medium settings. As i said before the game relies heavily on upscaling and FG to maintain proper framerates.

@legacybenchmarks tried it earlier with FG on, I'm surprised how good it was implemented, but the input lag was less than desirable but I'd take that input lag over a slideshow. Stutters are still apparent and enemies spawning behind you and out of thin air is really hurting the experience for me

I have same specs on my laptop but with 32 GB RAM. Game runs ok with FSR on medium settings, but every time after few minutes of gameplay my GPU usage goes up to 100% an that's it, 10 fps and only reload of the game might help but not always, sometimes GPU usage is 100% from the start. Is your issue same or it's something different?
