The GTX 960 was my first desktop GPU from a pre-built with a i5 4460 and 8gb of ddr3 ram. its now 8 - 9 years later, and I now have a Asus Dual RX 6700xt 12gb, Ryzen 5 5600 and 32gb of Ram :)

I feel that DX12 Ray Tracing (not RTX GPU RT) allows older GPU owners to explore / experience Ray Tracing without the need of an expensive RTX based GPU! AMD showed it could be done in their demo a few years back, and while RT cores on RTX gpus does give a performance boost …. It’s not as much as was shown when RX/GTX gpus in this title (Fortnite) which means that RT based gpus are being charged at. A premium which isn’t really called for. Unreal Engine 5 with DX12 Ray Tracing puts rasterisation performance back on the table with RT performance hits being reduced to a negligible amount which benefits all gamers not just those who can afford higher end gpus in todays market.

Sorry to say, but that's a TeraScale card. They perform horribly. If you really can't afford anything at all, try aiming for a HD 7770 or HD 7850.

@@LeopardGamingYT6969 I left a lengthy comment that KZbin automatically deleted. Make sure whatever card you're going for is at least GCN 1.0. If you're buying cheap now, you're buying twice. You can check Techpowerup to see which cards are part of this generation. If you only want to play DX11 games, a GTX 770 could be okay. But 700 series is pretty much dead today. Save up more and eventually get an RX 580, you can even get them cheap from China.

Yeah, I like my 6600XT, it's great value. I also had a 5700XT for a year as my main GPU and I loved it. I haven't tested many new AMD GPUs because they don't send me stuff and don't answer my emails unfortunately...

You should try overclocking the memory. That might help with the stuttering a bit on medium settings though, nothing more.

Playing in chapter 5 has become horrible with it. When loading into matches i usually have extremely hard lags, ping drop, frame drop and fps drop at the same time. And with each coming season it only gets worse. I do belive that eventually a 960 won't be enough anymore for the game

Why the most gamers wants 100 FPS today? 60 fps is far enough to play games smooth of course if there are no big FPS drops. Without really much drops even 30-40 fps can be enough (it demepends on the game in Caberpunk 2077 its enough for me) I like my GTX 970 even today:) and i don't plan to buy a new Computer

Why the hell is this game having so much stutter issues? I don’t even play it anymore the optimization and terrible updates ruined it I have a rtx 3060 12gb and i5 10500 with 16gb of ram and it’s still a stuttery mess 5 years ago when I first played the game with a rx 580 it was more playable I don’t understand game devs and there terrible optimization skills. Before the update the game ran fine on my girlfriends gtx 960 had to get a 1060 to even make it playable for her and it still lags a shitload.
