Who am I and why does that matter to you? I am a certified Massage Therapist, Personal Trainer, and former Pro Athelete that currently has Fibromyalgia and Chonic Fatigue. I experienced many many injuries as an athlete, and now can use that knowledge to help others. I was tutored by an amazing massage therapist and want to share some of these techniques with others. I know how hard it is to find a good therapist that can help you get exactly what you want out of a massage.
I was a successful Spartan Athlete because I knew how to tap into the power of the mind to acheive athletic goals. After a really stressful period, I developed these conditions and my professional career ended abruptly. I spent 2 years in the depths of depression, severe Chronic Fatigue, and Fibromyalgia. I know that it was past trauma that got me into that mess, and know that by using the power of my mind that I can heal. I will never give up searching for ways to be in complete remission - I can't and I won't.
Sometimes I feel like giving up
But i Just Can't
It isn't in my blood.
I've learned so much through my formal and informal education on these subjects, and I want to share it all and help others through their hard times. Feel free to PM me.

So excited for you to try! BTW at one point I am pointing to the Biceps Femoris and I say Rectus Femoris instead. I caught myself but don't want to re-edit the video . So there ya go.

This is my first look at your videos and I read your story of your history. Your video was very informative as i cycle a lot, and have knee and IT Band and hamstring issues and plan to use the techniques you showed. Thank you for sharing. I also wanted to tell you that I truly appreciate your mental attitude and perseverance to stay with it. We only lose when we quit..... Good for you!

Hello..! I am a Massage Therapist...(26yrs) and I am seeing the need for these tools as I've just purchased both of them....I am also enjoying watching Your videos.....(Perhaps I will look/watch a more instructional video (on use) but it would be helpful in this particular video if You were to slow-down and show the angle of the blade and the particular Gua Sha tool You are using and the angle while using....Again, I will look for other (instructional videos) and I will help (financially support) You....(If I am able--in the future--) as We are all (trying) to get back to work...! Thank You...! ~Gina M. Wade, C.M.T.

Hi there. So if there were some deep fascial adhesions, the next couple of days can be tender. I would recommend going lighter at first, and work on an area overtime.

Thank you for your video. Can we do both up and down strokes at the same time? Some people just say that we should do only one way, most probably up. Also, do you think fascia buddy is better or worse?

Hello! I'm interested in the inner hamstring part you talk about. Mine are very, very hard after years of abusing them. Is this something I should do every other day to help loosen them? Thanks!

Hi is this good for miniscus tear?
@Zionsedgemassage
@Zionsedgemassage 4 жыл бұрын
Hi there - if you have a fresh tear, I would not recommend it over the area. The tear needs to heal . I have used it around the meniscus area (you can't really access it) on scar tissue, and it works really well in that case.

If you get very light black & blue bruising opposed to petechiae does this indicate improper technique only (too much pressure or using tools improperly)? What if the person has been completely lacking movement & muscles are somewhat atrophied?
@Zionsedgemassage
@Zionsedgemassage 4 жыл бұрын
That coloring can indicate that the fascial adhesions are more severe in that area - I guess it depends on how long you scraped it. This can definitely happen more with atrophy, They will heal, but I always look for the red petechiae and then back off.

I have the hip joint and knee pain which I believe is from IT Band. There is no resource for massage in my life. Can Guasha help me as an individual? I am not confident to do this without advice.

CreoleGenius St. Siddha absolutely! I used to have IT band problems and it’s completely eliminated any pain. You can start with a jar lid- it will be pretty tender at first but it gets better. 😁If you want a more in depth training than this on how to do Gua sha, you can check out my online program www.zionsedgemassage.com/pain-free-in-30-days

Can this help recovering quadricels tendonits
@Zionsedgemassage
@Zionsedgemassage 4 жыл бұрын
Daiki Sama quadriceps tendinitis? absolutely. The only danger would be if do it on a freshly torn muscle (you heard a pop or felt a tug) Otherwise, scrape away. Most tendinitis is actually just fascial adhesions around the tendon and muscle

I did this and bruised myself badly. Is this normal? Also the area itches after about 5 minutes. Normal?
@Zionsedgemassage
@Zionsedgemassage 4 жыл бұрын
Yes - That's normal. Stuck fascia can bruise - Especially after the first time. One you start seeing coloring, do a few more strokes an then stop for the day. Itching indicates an allergic response to whatever was trapped in the fascial adhesion.
