wowwwwwwwwwwww. Talk about nostalgia. This might be my favorite game that I 100% forgot till now. Used to have a great time going to a friends house and playing. Holy moly the music, everything is so familiar, its been almost 20-25 years.

Guardian Heroes is a cult-classic brawler with a lot of depth that boasts some impressive technical achievements - just like you'd expect from a developer like Treasure.

I definitely know for sure. I went through the exact same feeling when I played Ocarina of Time once on N64. WONDERFUL game, but for whatever reason, it just didn't "click" for me, as they say. I *want* to love it, and at times I sorta-kinda do if I'm in a right mood, but just not enough for me to stay hooked for more than the first two dungeons for whatever reason. It's a game I definitely respect at least, I'll certainly say that much.

yakkowarner1990 I'm glad I'm not the only one. Sounds like we both know that same feeling well. Tbh, Ocarina of Time never did much for me either. If I'm going to play an old 3D Zelda, it's Twilight Princess all the way :)

For me, my favorite 3D Zelda is Wind Waker, it's absolutely charming with the funny characters and the cartoonish graphics ^^ and yep it's a very surreal feeling when you *know* a game is one of the best you've ever played and yet just can't get into it for whatever reason. Oh if you ever take Saturn game suggestions, I definitely recommend Magic Knight Rayearth. If not for the channel then just something I thought you might like to try for yourself at some point. It's a really underrated game in my opinion, in fact it's my personal favorite Saturn game and it's also one of my favorite anime series's too :) Shame it's so stupidly expensive though....

Epic. I was aghast at how I could not testify in court & build a dungeon. Ig was WEIRD. I was yet again the witness of a insane character in a crisis. I would just imagine their being t.k.o. & carted off by spirits to be incarcerated. It was...inane.

Its gameplay are amazing. It feels like this is what happen if you combine Castle Crasher with Panzer Bandit-style gameplays. Treasure company are absolute legend during their time!

Best route to go with Han is via Level 8 where you face the one armed undead hero. The upgraded sword makes him an absolute beast!

Ha! That's funny man. I did something very close to what you did here. By 1995 I was a diehard gamer that loved playing everything (I still do). I tried to find a Saturn during the surprise launch but couldn't find one. I didn't see a Saturn out in the wild until I went to EB to pick up my launch Playstation. I wound up getting both on 9/9/95.

@Sinn0100 lol, that's awesome! This game was a huge inspiration. Way later, in high school, my brother and I, along with our teacher and friend, made a game heavily influenced by it. It was based on a little manga we created as kids, sci-fi fantasy all the way! Currently remaking it and leaning towards having it look more like Guilty Gear.

I have own a Sega Saturn and had this game I love the battle royal and choose the characters to take the battle to the back of the stage it was so funny and when you have friends to play with than now that everything is online play

How the characters never got an English dub is beyond me... or even a TV series adaptation for Toonami, either. (And yes, I'm aware the game came out before Toonami started.) Now I kinda wonder who'd be great at voicing Han, Randy, Ginjirou, Nicole, and Serena in English!

I was always playing this game with my pal trying to figure out different paths and wondering which was the true ending I’m suprised they never made an anime out of this game or some of the games that inspired it like gunstar heros. It’s a shame the Saturn didn’t make it big over here in the states I really liked it and the games wonder what new types of games will come out while VR gets smoothed out over the coming years so that people with glasses can play it too, and are we ever going to have true VR like in ready player one.

Honestly. The 360 version makes the Saturn original obsolete in my opinion, Tweeked gameplay/controls (It plays more like those DS Bleach fighters Treasure made. You can switch to the original Saturn gameplay/controls too) An improved script (It's a lot goofier now) and most importantly. You can finally fast foward through cutscenes. It's been made compatible with the Xbox One as well
