The point i don't understand is how can you kill Slime with just 1 slash and it didn't leave the swarm on the ground. I slash sometime 1 hit died, sometimes 2 hits, and sometimes it left swarm, sometimes it didn't.

it exploded once you get too close or touch it afaik, so if it left a puddle it means you touched its hitbox even though you feel you didnt touch it, you can see sometime it took me 2 hits too
