That's ridiculous - that is not at all what they thought. They just had concerns because they knew it was a risk since it had no obvious connection to the existing MCU and was quite different from those earlier films. Once it was a big success it showed them that they had room to start exploring the weirder corners of the Marvel Comics universe.

Howard the Duck actually kinda looked like Donald Duck in the comics, he didn't have pants at first, but Disney insisted on a few changes on the character because of the similarities & one of them is that he should have pants (this was before Disney owned Marvel).

JW, George Lucas helped produced movie based on Howard The Duck, but movie bombed in the theaters. Due to popularity of GOTG Vol 1 and 2, actress who starred in Howard movie, Lea Thompson wants to direct new reboot version of Howard The Duck, but studio passed on the idea for now. Might be future plans for Howard. Back to this movie, people in this movie were good, but script was terrible. Plotline was so dumb

One must put logical pieces together for it to make sense. Besides, there were unsubtle hints WRIT LARGE (allcaps pun intended) in the first Guardians. Again, these Marvel movies aren't gimmicky M. Knight Shaylaman productions, dude, built around one thinly veiled deceit. However, this is not JUST about giving up specific details .. it's about giving ANY information, including whether or not they WILL or WILL NOT like it. They are supposed to go into it "BLIND" ... and remember, there's also an audience that may or may not have seen the movie too. I will not IMPOSE MY PERSONAL OPINION onto the girls or ANYONE, and neither should you or anybody else. Haven't we seen enough damage, in OUR country alone, by people suggesting how we should feel and judge others, without facts ??? How long is it going to take for people like you to realize that this is a reaction channel and they are SUPPOSED to see, hear and feel about it for the FIRST time ... NOT after someone has told them what to feel. I've seen people tell these reactors NOT to watch certain sequels, just because THEY didn't like them. Thank God they either ignored them or didn't see the comments. This isn't about YOU or ME. Look, this isn't rocket science ... the simple rule of reaction channels is, they haven't seen, heard or read about the movies in advance, unless they tell you they have (like when they were young or something), so you are not suppose to give them ANY information about them at all. Facts, hints and/or feelings should not be conveyed, but you can talk all you want about what they HAVE seen to that point. Argue all you want but, these are not MY rules ... they are the rules everyone knows and accepts, and that reactors specifically come out and ask you directly to follow. In this reaction, Michelle told us she's seen it, and I've seen that reaction in the past. However, Viki said she hadn't seen the movie yet, so the rules are then required/set. The problem for them is, people ignore the rules. They act like they're either, trying to get extra points in class or show how smart they are (or both), but patience is the rule of the day ... and the most rewarding, especially when their reactions are finally revealed ... when you finally get to see if they DO/DON'T react the way you thought they would. This wasn't an attack on you ... it was an appeal to EVERYONE who does this, thinking that their little cute comment is ok and won't bother anyone. The problem is, it doesn't JUST affect the reactor(s) ... it affects everyone who came here to see the reactions, and who will go see the reaction to any sequels too. Why take the chance ??? Is it that hard to constrain yourself ??? If I didn't convince you, that's a shame. It wasn't an attempt to embarrass you or anything, just one to get you and others to stop doing this.

Part of the reason, from a writer's standpoint, that Groot had to die before the final showdown with Ronan is that Groot was powerful enough to wield the stone by himself. He was the only one of the Guardians who could, so for the sake of the drama, Groot couldn't be there.

Comic book Drax is VERY strong, but I don't recall the movies ever showing us a decent demonstration of his strength like they have with some of the others. Physical strength alone doesn't mean someone can hold in infinity stone, but it's a decent place to start looking for someone who can.

Both of you will love Vol.2. Vol. 3. is scheduled to be released in 2023. There were a lot of issues between Vol. 2 and unreleased Vol. 3 with 1st, director, James Gunn. Scripts. Then the Pandemic. Delays pushed filming Vol. 3 I think Gunn had other movies to be completed
