Another detail I've always liked about the soundtrack is in the climax of the movie (Black Tears playing), that every time a Guardian gets in contact with the Stone (except Gamora/Meredith), the song builds tension getting a tone up, until they stabilize the energy from the Stone. That's when the Guardians' theme is played for the first time, and if you look at the harmony, the chords are the same as the Avengers' theme, only changed in order (Im-IV-VI for the Guardians, Im-VI-IV for the Avengers), as they were "the cosmic Avengers". Don't know if that helps to the hidden easter egg, but just wanted to share :)
