I think your final comment was spot-on: the Disney+ shows that worked were mostly those that had people we already knew about; the ones that dragged were busy both introducing characters and trying to have other stuff going on. So far, these specials have been 2 for 2 in hitting it out of the park!

Thanks so much for the comment! Absolutely agree with you - for a story to be truly good, it does not need to have a million and one layers, and be so convoluted - it can just be good and solid on its own. Wish more writers in Hollywood would take that into consideration.

Maybe not every year but I’d love to see Marvel do a holiday special every like 2 years. Just with a different group of characters each time say like the next group could be at the place where the sorcerer’s are trained with Wong America Chavez and to follow through that set up in NWH with Ned able to use magic

You 2 seem like a very fun couple I'm happy that you met each other. I like that they are showing these characters actual abilities like in the comics like with Mantis with her mastery of the Priests’ martial arts, which focuses on the manipulation of nerve endings and pressure points, has enabled her to knock out beings as powerful as Thor. Mantis has two slim antennae growing from her head that amplify her empathic ability. Drax is very strong and resilient, but I hope in volume 3 that he meets his daughter Moon Dragon who he thinks is dead, but it doesn't look like that will happen.

Honestly, it was so incredibly enjoyable to see both Mantis and Drax more in action, they were both equally terrifying and badass! Hopefully Vol 3 does delve a little more into that, as well as seeing Drax reunite with his daughter - that would be incredible!

I have a prediction for new Guardians content going forward. You know how Peter Quill has always been sort of second-in-command, right? When he is just with the guardians, he has trouble keeping things together. Rocket is as much a leader as he is in the beginning of the Guardians movies. He's kind of a neophyte leader. When he is working with the Avengers, even if it's just Thor's mere presence on the ship, his juvenile masculinity is made fun of while he defers to the ideas of others. That can be helpful when working with allies, but it isn't on purpose in this case. Since Guardians 1, Quill has gone from a rebellious "teen" who fell in love with Gamora, to a genuine veteran of both Infinity War and Endgame; a broken man who has experienced a deep loss. I hope that Disney advances Quill's persona to that of a capable, clever, grizzled leader. And then I hope that he wins Gamora's heart back by being what he always wanted to be- a bad ass hero.
