For one thing I think that's the point of this ride. Although the same with Tower of Terror, they made it more child-friendly (not that ToT wasn't child friendly). Also, they added one more drop as compared to Tower of Terror's 6 total count of drops, GotG has 7. I will Tower of Terror dearly, but I keep reminding myself Disney has to evolve...

No, actually. This version of the ride has a randomized drop sequence. It uses different computer programs that give rides a different drop pattern and number of drops each ride, but no matter what the computer comes up with, it's always more than the old version of the ride. There's also a random song from a list of classic 80s songs that plays, as well as different scenes that are chosen to pop up on the screen (I believe it always shows 2 of 4 or 5 scenes to play on the screen, but the final ending scene is always the same). All of this put together makes every ride experience truly unique and gives you all the more reason to ride it more than once.

I was just as upset as everyone else when I heard the amazing Tower of Terror was going to be changed, but honestly this new ride truly looks like it's a blast and the animatronic in the pre-show was incredibly well done. I'm glad there's still a classic ToT at Disney World, but this seems like quite a fun addition to the Disney roster. Pleasantly surprised!

as a big fan of this ride, I have a few problems with the way the queue is setup. I wish that you were let in as a huge group, saw the video and in to the library like they have the haunted mansion intro as opposed to just walking in whenever, because I can only imagine how annoying the queue video would get as the ride is quite popular and guests will hear it multiple times. maybe as the crowds die down they might do that. I also think the boiler is where the cages you see when you walk in should be leaving what was the lobby as a lobby still.

When I went on this there was this guy with a Gopro and before we got in he asked the guy "is this safe?" And he said" Enjoy your ride" and he was so cool about it, and he really stuck with his character and it was awesome. The gopro guy filmed it, and he was also super nice.

To all those idiotic people who don't know how to research their information, ToT was closed down in DCA because the contract for The Twilight Zone had expired. Yes, it was an iconic ride but people knew that day would come, even with its popularity. Remember, all good things must come to an end. So quit being so rude to the people who actually enjoy this thrilling ride! Personally, I believe Disney is just trying to experiment with the brands they own. For example, Marvel. Also, keep in mind that GotG HAS 6 DIFFERENT RIDE EXPERIENCES! It's literally different each time you ride it, unlike the continuous eerie and uninviting storyline of ToT.

I love ToT - but it was a bit long in the tooth - most people have no idea what the twilight zone is (I've only done the florida version) this seems to be missing the pre drop trundle though the building. You can still go to ToT in WDW and Paris :) This looks super fun - it helps if you are a GoTG fan.

There's a good mix of references to both Marvel and Disney properties, some of them being genuine props from the parks. Some of the more notable pieces from the parks include an original Matterhorn yeti (located on the old boiler) and an original Figment animatronic (highest box in the lobby).

I really wish I liked this ride. The music and scenes are great, but I get motion sick pretty easily. I rode it for the first time yesterday. I took some medicine like almost an hour before I went on it and I almost threw up twice during the ride. Getting off, I was fine, but I doubt I will ever go on again. I’m glad to have videos though to see the scenes and such. I got a little motion sick on TOT, but never did I feel this bad. Glad people like the ride-I love Guardians-but hopefully there will be a nice Guardians presence in Avengers Campus.
