As someone who’s been listening to Radiohead for a very long time, my face lit up when I heard Creep play in a movie I thought I’d never hear Radiohead be a part of. Absolutely. I found so much great music from the guardians trilogy, but 3 was really the one that opened my eyes. From Creep all the way to The Dog Days are over. This movie is very special to me and seeing it for the first time in theatres was really touching.

Funny thing is that Creep is the least favorite song of the band themselves. They hated how popular it became. I will always Radiohead, ever since I first heard Paranoia Android when I was a kid (that video was so damn weird to boot). Radiohead is already depressing as fuck and the acoustic version is way more depressing than original version. Then combined with Rocket’s experience, what he had been through, the whole level of depression is upgrade. I never liked Radiohead and prolly never will, but this song and opening is good.

The climax on Creep with the slow walk and the text appearing and the way it's framed has such "It's a mess right now but it's all going to end okay" vibes to it. After the previews,I was prepared when the movie. Literally the moment the movie started,it played "Creep" and when I heard it for the first time I was heartbroken 4 both Rocket and the team 😢💔 (The movie was extraordinarily awesome by the way 👍) I also luv how Rocket also sings along to the music,which makes the opening extra sad 😢

That’s actually pretty normal for survivors of trauma. When you’re in the middle of it, your mind will subconsciously delay processing that trauma because you’re still in “survival mode”. You only start to process things once you feel safe for a long enough period of time. Granted, drinking copious amounts of alcohol isn’t really the right way to process trauma, but that’s Quill for you 🤷🏼‍♂️

I wasn't a fan of this song, and still am not. The other song Gunn had in mind for the scene was 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond', which I definitely prefer. But while 'Creep' doesn't reasonate with me, it does very much to Rocket. It clicks in him. I wouldn't change it.
