I saw it Monday, and I loved it. The scene with Quill and Nebula with the car had me dying. The back and forth with Drax and Mantis was hysterical. The flashback scenes got me in my feels. James Gunn got me to tear up few times during the film. I was gonna wait till it came out on Disney+ but glad I went to see it in theaters.

He will make many DC live action movies and TV shows and is currently working on a movie called Superman Legacy which is set to release on July, 2025. I saw it with a buddy this afternoon and we both loved it... It's not a masterpiece but it's a ton of fun. The action is good, the humor is what you'd expect in a Guardian's movie and as you said it has some really emotional scenes... And yeah I thought the same thing about the fight scene in the corridor. Looking forward to seeing it again... I still don't know if Gunn's the right guy to be writing and directing a Superman movie but he definitely hit the mark with this one...

GOTG3 felt like a Marvel film from phase 3 and before. Emotionally powerful, entertaining and not cluttered or diluted with a "message" of any kind, except that you do all you can do to help your family. I will probably see it again in theatres.
