I think Shang Chi was a really good change of pace for the MCU. The action scenes were executed flawlessly, I’d say this film gives a nod to films like Kung Fu Hustle & the Raid. The story, I wouldn’t say it was the best but it was definitely interesting (for me, at least). So overall, I’d give it a 9/10. Really hyped for when Shang Chi & Spider-Man team up!

Far from the worst, far from the best. The first act was easily the best part. The second act DRAGS and it never fully recovers. The martial arts sequences were decent and refreshing for the MCU, but nothing that can’t be seen in any Asian produced studio. However, even that dissipated in the third act. They were also a little on the nose with the “being Asian.” The more subtle aspects like taking shoes off before entering the house were more enjoyable than those jokes.

Shang Chi movie in my opinion is really good, it reminded me of the old classic chinese movies about martial arts so its kinda reminiscing to me as an asian also, alot of jackie chan inspiration in the fight scenes

I really enjoyed this movie. It was dope af. But I also felt that something was missing. For me it was a connection with the characters. I feel like there could have been more informative and emotional dialogue between the characters. But still a movie I would also add to my collection.
