This reminds me when I used to play a lot wc3 6v6 with AI. getting up to 100 pop for the final fight until I get to destroy every building, heroes lvls 10 and stuff like that, so much fun!

I would love to see an over-explain video where you watch a replay of an all in 4v4 team fight and talk a little bit about things like positioning, micro, which units to prioritize, when to use items, etc.

I remember back in college we played quite a lot 4s in w3 with the friends. I always told them I actually belive that is the future of wc3, as it is a lot more interesting and open to different styles and ways to play than any other rts before was in team game. I clearly stated I think the future of rts is on the social side, teamgame, more strategy, interesting synergies between players and races and a lot of different combination. I prefered 4v4 so I outlined 4v4 as the most fun and therefore with the most potential. Remember, back then most ppl considered 4s an unserious casual activity, 1v1 was all the rage (and many preferd sc for 1v1 as it was somewhat more intense) What can I say, after something like 15 years with most of the community enjoying 4s I feel so f..king vindicated, for once I clearly predicted the future.

Love it. Please continue with each race for 4v4 I think it would be super helpful. I think also including recommended map vetos would be great, and what your role is on the team if you are each race and how that role changes when you have 2 or 3 of said race.

Thanks Grubby, I've loved watching you for a long time, but haven't played WC3 competitively because I was discouraged by how much micro is required to be really good. However, your beginner guides like this one make the game seem a lot less intimidating to get started! I'd love to see a bloody beginner for Human, and I may just be inspired enough to give the game another go!

A Pally/rifle 4v4 guide would be sick. I just started playing again (thanks to YT recommending me your vids, not the first time this got me re-interested in the game) and although I play random, when I get HU I generally go Pally/rifle into MK/breakers with early expo. It can absolutely dominate and I find myself often having by far the strongest army but I also run into the issue of not having a very mobile army, not being able to siege or go on the offensive very well, and opponents split attacking/hit and running and it being quite effective.

I had to re-install Warcraft 3 a couple of times due to problems with the pc, and always noticed that W3Champions doesn't show up from the get go. I always had, within the W3C app to click the redownload and reset buttons. 4v4 Night Elves tips would be interesting to watch, for I'm tired of constantly building mountain Giants and a Keeper.

I was thinking while watching that maybe I should try 4v4 ai, and then you told me I should! :) 1v1 ai hasn't been very beneficial outside of perfecting build orders. Computers just dont think and act like any human, it feels very strange.

you ever try Invisible motars ? get like 1 maybe 2 sanctums then 2 to 3 workshops with plus 2 dmg [shredder/expo dependent ] then use sorceress invisible on motars and heros then go sniping enemy mains and kill all their buildings , kinda relies on strong allies who can get front line melee and anti air for your motars to hide behind during a 4v4 fight , can also switch to either inner fire motars , throw in a group of gyros for AA , or even tanks with Zeplins , works well with AM for mass tele , bloodmage or panda second to aow workers repairing with blizzard

Looks like the 4v4 maps are very different. This one gives each team 2 close spawns and 2 far spawns, but others I have seen you play on have each team on a row parallel to the enemy row, or the teams in tight groupings.

this is a great beginner guide, but can you make one more focused on strategies? sometimes those questions of: "should i tp to save my ally's base?" "should i instead trade bases or tps?" "creep or harass if my allies are getting harassed?" there are many situations where a single (bad) tp or choosing the wrong battle makes your allies leave and you just lose...

One interesting thing that I feel makes Warcraft 3 uniquely great is the team games. Like SC2 has a great 1 v 1 but I never found the team games to be that amazing. Age of Empires 2 which I did not play until the most recent remastered version of the game has great team games too. It's almost like they got it right by accident with these older games. While some of newer games have produced good 1 v 1 product through intentional design, I really have not seen an RTS recapture the magic of Warcraft 3 and AoE2 in terms of team games. Now Starcraft 2 did hit it big with co-op but that's different than team VS team.

For 2on2, UD + elf (fiends+hunts) works very well, or you can play ORC + ELF (Blade+DH, grunt raider kodo & few hunts, then dryads mass)
