I experienced similar just recently. My husband bought me Ophidia GG Medium tote bag for mother's day last 8th of May, arrived on the 10th, I was very excited i even filmed the unboxing. Right away, I noticed the pinhole on the bottom leather of the bag, and 2 missing smartphones pocket that was mentioned on the Gucci website product descriptions, then there is no serial numbers, and the lists keeps going on the more I looked closely. Phoned Gucci client services but they don't have answers to why the bag they sent to me have countless fault. I couldn't returned it myself to their Gucci Shop in Auckland NZ because of work availability , so my husband drive there. He don't know what to look and just basically told the lady to make sure the product the give to him is faultless and exactly as what is written on description. We end up buying Gucci Horsebit 1955 shoulder bag which is cost him NZ$520.00 more as the returned item price is NZ$3,415.00, the Horsebit is $3,935.00. Can't wait to see it when he comes back tonight. Fingers cross no damage or something fakey.

@@laurenromeo I just got my Gucci Horsebit1955 shoulder bag, and I'm loving it. I will look closely tomorrow morning to make sure that there is no damage or unusual to it. So far so good. It looks so beautiful.

Absolutely! It was inexcusable. Glad I was able to return without any issues both times. VERY pleased with the Soho Disco. Zero flaws and its quickly becoming one of my most worn bags 😍.

What exactly is luxurious about bad service (didn’t get back to you) and poor quality? They aren’t even unique since they are mass produced. I feel like they are playing their costumers.

Yeah. I am skipping them in general, but I do buy here and there and my last bag was extremely „cheap“ and I am still undecided if I‘m keeping it.

I can totally see where you are coming from. Now, I was told by an SA who helped me at the boutique that the bags are hand finished but that still means a lot of the process is done by machine. That doesn't bother me personally, but I know it will bother some. I will have to admit that I have a soft spot for Gucci. I think for the most part, the quality is great and I will continue to purchase (new and preloved) items from the brand.

People who are obsessed with everything being perfect should not purchase any of these mass market „luxury“ items, the price of which is dependent solely on the brand name. Instead, buy an individually produced bag from a smaller company or an artisan. Both of your bags, unfortunately, are of normal Gucci quality and have nothing inherently wrong with them. This is how their products come. Sad truth.

You make some good points! In my previous experience, Gucci quality has been superb. I'd like to think this bag was just an outlier, but I'm going to be careful going forward when buying current pieces from this brand. I'm definitely looking into brands like Mulberry and Loewe for my next boutique purchase as they have great track records for superior craftsmanship and customer service!

@@laurenromeo Exactly. Because at some point things become too big to control and this is when quality starts to drop, and due to the demand the price is high. It’s the same with any industry really. The bags are obviously not bad, no one would purchase them if they were, but for us who like to buy selectively and purposely there is definitely a double take to be had with every decision.

I recently ordered something from Gucci online and I was disappointed with the dustbag. I know it’s just a dustbag but the stamping on it was not centered and I fell like it should be for such a high end brand. I called customer service and had them sent me a new one from a store nearby.

I only have one Gucci bag and tbh I don't think their quality based on that deserves the price. You're paying for a name. I think the quality of Coach is way better than a lot of designers and have been very happy with theirs, and they have many afforable ones at the outlet store. I love my Gucci bag for the print, but because of what it's worth, I feel much more scared to use it lol. A Gucci bag is worth like 17x a Coach or MK bag, but the quality doesn't really seem much different.

Coach is incredible! I do agree with you on that. Current Gucci quality is still really good, IMO, but vintage is just as good if not better! I love my Tom Ford era hobo 🥰.

Yep! I am honestly so surprised at what I can fit in the Soho Disco. It's kind of crazy lol! I'm glad you haven't experienced issues like this. It wasn't fun to deal with, but I'm glad everything worked out in the end.

I had the same issue with my Gucci Dionysus WOC bag. I messaged my SA and she said to bring it in as my camera couldn’t pick up the scuffs. When I went in she wasn’t there but the manger was very helpful, she straight away said she would change it. We went through about 4 bags before I found the perfect one. Don’t give up! Get the bag you want.

I bought a super fake horsebit bag in white from China for 1/10 of the retail price and the bag is so perfect. It makes me laugh when people pay thousands for a bag with serious flaws. Gucci is a corrupt company who outright supports and promotes satanism and new world order agendas

Their customer service is bad. I received a bad with snags in the vinyl and irregular crooked stitch on the handles. I took the tag off and I now have to take it back to the store. They better make it right since I spent 2000 on this bag. Ridiculous awful quality

Wow. Thank you for sharing your experience. My heart kinda broke for you after the second fail because the joy and excitement were gone. I appreciate you showing the flaws. Flaws (particularly the ones you had on yours) are just not acceptable at that price. You are paying the price for quality high end craftmanship.

O had several issues with this bag as well, but with the white model. First, I exchanged for a new one, and the same problem remained… finally, I asked for my money back.

Congratulations on finally getting a good bag! It was so sad to see the disappointment on your face with the first two, but you were right in sending them back. It's also frustrating when you're trying to build a relationship with an SA and they don't call or text back. I've had that experience at one of my local Gucci stores, and then he had the nerve to get mad when I went back to the store and shopped with another SA who was willing to help me. 🤷‍♂️ I don't get it! lol

In my experience, I went back to the store, and it was busy and the SA in questions was just flipping through scarves and avoiding me since I shopped with the other SA the time before. I asked for his help in getting a belt from the back. He brought one out 2 sizes smaller than I what I asked for, and when it didn't work he then went into detail about how I needed a bigger belt 🙄 I made an exaggerated look the size of the belt to bring attention to his "mistake" before thrusting it back at him and just said "yeah, ok" 🙄

Honestly, lets just stop buying designer. I had the popular gucci rubber slides bought last year directly from gucci and the soles are already coming apart. I dont even wear them that often. They are just not worth the extra price tag. I always thought gucci was better quality than LV but now i think they are all trash. I refuse to pay for the name any longer! They are all just rapidly mass produced these days.

just received Gucci Diana bag I ordered online from the boutique, unfortunately I found multiple flaws. The reason I ordered online was the one in the boutique has small flaw as well. I don't think I will accept this as well after spending a lot of money :(
