Hello friends! I am so excited to finally give you my review of the Guerlain Ombres G Eyeshadow Palettes! I previously reviewed this formula when I received the Majestic Rose quad, but wanted to do an updated video with all 4 of my quads to give you my thoughts and help you decide which one is best for you! Mature eyelids checking in! Hooded, dry, and creepy. Ugh. These are some of the easiest shadows for me to work with. They just melt into the skin, don’t skip, easy to buff out with the lightest touch, and stay put. And they don’t look powdery and age my old ass lids. I love the metal butterfly and mystic peacock (and omg the pigments!). So pricey but that formula is fantastic.

I got majestic rose and mystic peacock. I got them today at 20% discount - was so lucky. They are fantastic. Just like you when you see them initially you have the feeling that you have them at home, but when I compared them with all my Tom Ford, Pat Mcgrath and Dior they seem to be pretty unique. Even the blue which reminded me the blue of Subliminal from Pat Mcgrath is not the same. Guerlain blue has more of a black base to it and less sparkles. So all in all I think they are very beautiful and easy to use with minimal fallout.

Do you have the Dior Birds of a Feather from last fall? I drooled over Majestic Peacock when I first saw it, but I figured between the Dior and my PML collection, I already had really similar shades.

I am medium brown skin toned and I love Imperial Moon palette. I blend and layer up nude shade and it works beautifully well. Top it with silver and smoke with black. Very pretty. Also have ND I Need A Nude and pref Guerlain. Xx

I have imperial moon. I LOVE that nudey peachy shade, I use the lighter colors with a damp brush for more everyday, one and done kinda looks. Using them wet really amps up their shine and color.

I got Imperial Moon for the cool colors. I love it. So different in my opinion. Note that I’m more of a Smokey eye everyday person so the black shade is perfect. I use it close to the eyelash line and diffuse it as I go up the eyelid.

Yes there is something different about it that I just don’t have from other quads. I like that they paired the black and silver with shimmering nudes rather than golds

Thanks for this review, I already have mystic peacock and the blue shades catch me and Also the holiday one. Still think of majestic rose and imperial moon which can be used as one and done. The black and dark color is astonishing as eyeliner, I used it with applicator and looks beautiful 😊

Thank you very much for the in-depht review and demo! The pricing of these palettes really varies depending on the retailer though. Sephora Germany has the holiday palette listed for 59€ and all the permanent ones for 65€. It works in my favour, because I really want the holiday quad but I don't get why they are so much cheaper here.

I really like the Guerlain quads. I have the Holiday one coming which I got on sale. I love the Majestic Rose. I feel the packaging is cheap considering the price; however, I love the formula. Great review Sofia.

Thank you, it is helpful to compare the palettes. I think the most interesting one is Majestic Rose and I have her already. I am looking for a Brown palette, but I am not sure what would be the best choice. I have golds already and matte browns too. I think I am looking for a palette like Dior Cashemere palette, but brown tones: not grey, not matte: rather satin and a bit metallic. I am not sure if something like this exists 😂

How does this formula compare to the YSL Mini-Couture Clutch palettes?

It’s a very different formula. This one is baked so it gives kind of that airbrush to look. And then the YSL formula is a creamy formula

Even tho i swatched Mystic Peacock in store and thought it was wayyy more blue than even i could realistically wear often, it's still my favorite color story lol! And All Feisty also did an amazing look with it. I think using a brush could also make it softer/more blended vs pigmented finger swatches lol. I'm going to watch your holiday quad review again too though. I'm still thinking on these but would love to pick one up on sale! Did you know they are only $62 through Selfridges? x

Am late with the news, but I just got the Mystic Peacock pallet with -30% discount, I got lucky 😊I found your review, excellent!!! True, very beautiful...but I have strange feeling that they are not very pigmented, I mean I tried with the sponges in the quad and it was better then my brushes. But I don't know....they are like...not hard pressed but like jelly feeling strange formula and most of the product is staying on the sponge not the eyes... please tell me how to make it work I probably don't use them right...I have one Dior quad Jungle I love it and I don't have those feelings. This Guerlain is my second very high end quad and love Guerlain, but obviously I need some help here 😊

Hello! The formula of these eyeshadows is a baked formula, so sometimes it helps to apply with the finger or with a stiffer brush. They will be very airbrushed if you use some thing that is fluffy.
