My first vetiver based fragrance is Lalique EN Sport and i really love it. I tested GV for 3 month and finally, yesterday i bought Guerlain Vetiver 200ml bottle on Notino for 36 Euro, shipping included. Outstanding fragrance.

@@victorong9212 GV late 2019 batch....exellent vetiver scent, on my opinion more for mature man. Very green, citrus, a bit oldschool scent, classy vetiver. The only problem is longevity. 4 hours max with 1 hour projection. Lalique ENS.....what a beauty. This is brighter version of Encre Noir, citrus opening, aquatic but vetiver is dark. Longevity 7+ hours, projection 2 hours.

Great review. Guerlain Vetiver is an amazing fragrance. Invigorating & uplifting. It’s clean, classic- truly a handsome scent. I don’t get all the notes that Fragrantica lists, but I do get the citrus at the beginning, the nuttiness at the beginning, and later the earthy tobacco and Vetiver. On me it stays closer to the skin after the first hour, but it lasts and lasts. I will never be without it.

Just got this and love it. A lot of reviews said it was outdated and smelled old manish even the reformulated, that made me hesitant to buy it because I’m 29 but I love vetiver it’s one of my favorite notes. And it smells great definitely not old manish, clean, fresh but also a little dirty and earthy and a little spicy, if you can pull off TF grey vet, you can pull this off just as easy.

What sets Guerlain vetiver apart from others vetivers is the rough, dry tobacco note, definitely adds body, darkness and depth.

Fist time I sniff it, I absolutely hate it at first sight. Experience from a decant, and I've kept smelling the atomizer, and still hated it. Then one day I've tried on my skin... Got to admit, it grows on you.. from unbearable, to acceptable in glance of a moment.. I can just imagine what it will do over time...

Hey my friend, great videos as always! As I go further in my quest to find the fragrances that appeal to me, I realize that I love green colognes, old school masculine colognes and woody colognes. I also find that I can't stand 90% of the blue colognes. Growing up in the mountains of Wyoming probably has something to with that. Polo green is one that I love as well as Rihanah Private Oud (Tom Ford Oud Wood clone). I wanted to see if you had any recommendations for me towards these categories of colognes? @@begoodtoyourself9591 I had a 10ml sample of oud wood a couple of years ago. Loved it but didn't want to pay for it. Private Oud is a 90-95% clone. It takes about 10 minutes to settle down but once it does, it's soooo good, especially in it's dry down. Not a projection beast but it does last forever.

This is why I don't buy these so called mature perfumes...seen so many youtubers say good things about this perfume...got myself a good clone of this and it's so hard on the nose...very hard...won't say its a bad smell like some oud attars which smells like fecal matter but this one cleary disappointed me....it smells like a poor cousin of creed royal water... personally I like royal water...but did not expect Guerlain vetiver to smell like this...am now scared to try Shalimar proclaimed by many as one of the greatest perfume ever created...

Reminds me of when I went to get a haircut when I was like 10... the hairsprays they used had a similar scent, but this one is with added celery smell :D idk I'm not a fan... it's so strong that it's an instant headache to me. Also it smells very dated

Well. Most people will experience olfactory fatigue when they apply a scent. So in a way it's for you but it's for others to smell. So it plays a part in a person's presentation. You can leave an olfactory impression and memory that people will remember you by.
