I was born and brought up in Guernsey. I moved to the UK when I got married and now live in the South of France. I'm not able to get back to visit Guernsey due to mobility issues, so it was lovely to see you driving around there. One of my aunties lived not far from the marina. Lots of happy memories. I've subscribed to your channel, looking forward to watching more of your videos.

Hi Ross, my family and I stayed at Camp de Reves Glamping on the west side of the island in August. They have Shepherd's huts and safari tents all with stunning views. This place is something else! The Shepherd's huts are for two people only. We stayed in the safari tent, which is also excellent. One of the owners let us have a sneak peak inside one of the Shepherd's huts and they are amazing! Perfect for a long weekend away. You will not catch a glimpse of them from the road unfortunately, they are quite tucked away. The owners are very friendly and with their permission they might show you around the site. Otherwise I highly recommend it for you and your family to stay there.

Huts look great. That was a super drive Ross - my homeland all that area in the North where I lived for many years. I've walked over that cobbled lane and been to the Marina restaurant. Thank you for the memories.

We camp with our camper van each year at beaucette , it's fantastic and the facilties are spotless, it's a great place to base yourself for hols in Guernsey, the campevan rates are extremley good Ross.

I was campsite manager , my 1st season on Herm 1975 Ross , those shepherd huts look 5 Star compared to our Tents those days 😁.

Back in the late 60s, the Army landed all their equipment on Lancresse beach to create the Beaucette Marina by blasting the rock away to actually create the marina.

Up until and including when I was 7 my Grandma lived at Bordeaux and then she moved to St Sampsons. At that time 1953 my parents had a chance to by a detached Guernsey stone house with a large garden and greenhouse for 5000 pounds. Unfortunately they didn't. I never forgave my mother.
