I really like your battle reports! I have seen some wrong rules: -When you run you also get a -1 on melee dice -If you are surprised you cant benefit from Lighning Reflexes or Reach also you cant do Ki feats (which is boosting your melee) -I dont have a rulebook but i am sure you cant reroll dice with 6´s -To score points you have to be completly in the zone BUT you can harras the enemy to walk in a zone but not completly. Also to score you have to have more points AND more models in a zone. I am really looking forward to see more Bushido!!

Love the game. Especially the constant player involvement in every decision. Small warbands, small play space, low terrain needs, missions with mechanics to try and keep players all involved throughout. Plus the models are great and they're getting more towards single piece for ease of handling.

Awesome video as always. Your Bushido videos convinced me to try the game myself a little over a year ago and I'm now completely sold on this awesome game. Some notes: Tired state doesn't exist anymore in Risen Sun. A model is only Exhausted if it has no more activation tokens. So when Akira used Dragon's Vigour, he actually attacked on his 3 activation counter and thus didn't have an Exhausted penalty. Unless Akira himself ran, he would have rolled 4 dice in that exchange. Combo attack at success level 0 or 1, still allow 1 additional damage roll on 0 As someone else mentioned already, you don't reroll 6s. If a model is reduced to 0 dice or less, both players gain an extra die on their roll until the model has 1 die again. A model that gets killed in a melee exchange, doesn't get to do a counter attack damage roll, even though its dice result my have resulted in a hit.

Hey Ash a few things. A "Surprised" Model may not declare any Ki Feats or Boasts and is always 2nd in Melee exchanges. A Model with "assassin" May roll 3 dice for damage, choosing 2 of them to add for the result against a "Surprised" Model. Also I am having trouble finding the rule on, if you roll a 6 during a Melee Exchange you get to re-roll 1 die. This may have been a Beta rule however I'm not finding it in the Official release.

Another idea for game mats, go to your local DIY store (I think Americans call it Home Depot. Bunnings for my fellow Australians), and buy 4 1'x1' stonelook vinyl tiles. The whole lot will set you back maybe $10

Def one of the best mechanics i've seen in a game. Basically each model gets X dice, and you in secret decide how many you want to use for offense vs defense in each fight. Then you and your opponent dice off. It leads to all kinds of cool things. Defensive stalemates, simultaneous decapitations, etc. It's one of the few times you have to actually read your opponent in a tabletop game.

To follow on +ZeeLobby, regardless of how many dice you roll for attack or defense, you can keep 3 for your score. 1s count for nothing, discard them. Then take your highest die, that's worth face value. Then add up to 2 non-1 dice which are +1 (regardless of face value) to total each. So 1-1-1 = 0 because 1s don't count. 4-3-1 = 5 because the 4 is worth four then +1 for the 3, and the 1 doesn't count. 8 is the highest you can get on the dice from a 6 and two non-1s (but other things can ultimately make that number higher).

Did you say at the start that the mission scores only at the end of even numbered rounds?

Some scenarios have scenario points AND victory points. Every scenario has 3 available victory points total. As you do things throughout the game you earn scenario points, and at the end of even number turns the player with the most scenario points gets one victory point. So you win/loose/tie the game based on VPs, but earning them is based on SPs. In some games your SPs reset after scoring. In some SPs continue to grow through the whole game. There are also some scenarios where that scoring method is not used at all, so the 3 available VPs are based on specific events happening (eg., first to kill a specific enemy model, first to get to opponent's deployment zone, having a specific model alive at end of game).

Would play better with more, varied terrain and scatter terrain. Most of the terrain placed had no effect on the game outside of turn 1. Reminds me of Warmachine tournament tables. A one-off though - I love your terrain collection. Your tables usually look gorgeous, especially Malifaux and Infinity tables. Other than that, great batrep/demo!
