“Viking Union” sounds like it would make an excellent Monty Python skit. Edit: I love your ‘fight like an Orc’ advice. I remember being down 2-0 in a bb match where I had orcs and had stalled out in a drive in the second half. I promptly thought ‘screw it’ and started punching. I ended up tying the game. Fight like an orc.

A fantastic battle report! Thanks to you both for creating such entertainment In these times. I loved it. Small side note. You can ’t cause a double crit. Page 16 Each warrior may only cause one critical hit in each hand-to-hand combat phase (see the Close Combat section), so if he has several attacks, the first 6 you roll to wound will cause a critical hit. injuries om hired swords are rolled in the same way as henchmen not heroes. Page 105. If a Hired Sword goes out of action during the game, roll for his injuries as you would roll for a Henchman after a battle (i.e, 1-2 = Lost; 3-6 = Survives)

Ash, just a heads up for the next time you build a Middenheim mercenary warband is that the Wolf Priest replaces one of the Champions. He isn't an extra hero that the Middenhiemers can take. Unless if you're using a house rule of course. That was painful. Gork and Mork deserted the Orcs and Goblins that game.

By the way, if it's still relevant: a model can move out of close combat if all their opponents are are knocked down or stunned. ('moving from combat' in the rulebook). They can even charge someone else. Unless you've house ruled it.

Not a huge fan of the newer Ogres - but I LOVED the official Mordheim Ogre hired sword, great model! As are the Middenheimers in metal.
