I liked your comment about "who needs a blower?" when you were clearing the pathway. I have a unique method to blow dead leaves off gravel. I have rural property and use a John Deere ride-on mower. There is a large (25m wide internal diameter, 50m external diameter) round-a-bout covered with white quartz gravel between the house and the granny flat. It's impossible to rake the leaves off the gravel. There is a large garden in the middle with many mature trees around the outer edge of the driveway producing lots of dead leaves. They get caught in the gravel and along the mowing strip edges building up into drifts in the autumn and spring seasons. I use the ride-on with the deck engaged to "blow" the leaves off the gravel into the garden beds or under the trees. It also clears the mowing strips. Works a treat! I call it "Blow-drying the driveway" 😄

Hey I use two pieces of flat wood on steps. To match the wheels. I walk up and mower pulls nicely behind me. I know it sounds like more work. But it turns out saving on your back and arms. 👍😊 Plus I'm a woman of 66 years old. 😉

I have one of the Atom Edgers, but the earlier green model with the Ryobi motor. Runs and works like a charm. Fortunately my edges are a little more refined than what you are cutting so they always look great after using it. Love your work.

The problem is it's an 18 volt Ryobi. I use the 40V Ryobi mower and it is an absolute beast, cuts for hours on end and never have breakdowns.

Very nice lawn caring job! Owner could also trim back the hedge on his side of the back fence, the tree branches and bushes, which might reduce the leaf buildup. You never give credit to the footmatic tool 👞 used to clean up the edges, btw.

Tim, I own a Ryobi 18v mower. Next time I do one of my commercial cuts I will use that along with my Ryobi 18v strimmer in place of my normal petrol gear just to show they are not as bad as you make them out to be. Olight

Not as bad as I make them out to be? He called me because the mower kept stoping in the thick grass. Like I have said before, they have their place if you have a small place that you mow often. I’ve seen your video mate, it’s neither efficient or effective. You can get a lawn mown with anything EVENTUALLY.

This came up in my feed today, and I can't think of a better way to prepare for Hallowe'en than watching the Scagg demolish the biggest pile of leaves I've seen on your channel yet! The trimmer approach did make a cool shot, and sorry, you didn't manage to trigger me. Growing up our family lawn ornament was a Valiant (so Kingswood Country was totally our fave show). Love your work, especially when you know the difference between plants and weeds, like I don't. 😁

I am 75 years old and about a half year ago I injured my right shoulder whilst pull starting my regular petrol engined mower. After working out the economics of purchasing a battery powered, self-propelled mower against getting a contractor periodically I opted for the battery mower. I got a Ryobi 36 volt unit. So far I am well satisfied with my purchase. I also got an cutter-edger with string cutter optional attachment. Also a blower (all 36 volt). They work well. My shoulder is slowly recovering, I think -- well, it is better than it was.

They have their place but not suitable for this yard. The tech will get better and cheaper. I'd love a ride on battery mower. They make them, but they are 4 times as expensive as the heavy duty commercial unit I have.

You can't expect that tiny mower to do anything... I have the ryobi 21 and one charge does 1/4 acre guess you need to by for your yard size.. But you sir did a great job trimming that up..👍

I use the same Ryobi mower as a companion to the larger Honda mower, it's great for trimming around trees or shrubs and if I keep the front lawn short enough I can do the entire lawn on one charge.

I have a battery powered Ryobi mower and it works GREAT! There is a little attachment to insert that turns it into a mulcher or you can bag it but I mulch. Of course my Ryobi is a bit larger than the one you showed and mine has all the bells & whistles! Love that is is light weight, compared to other mowers as I have cancer & lupus, so much easier for me to use! :)
