There must be a video about this already, but can you tell us exactly what you feed the goats, portions, what kind of hay you use, do you use loose minerals and baking soda? Thank you so much. I have learned so much from you and am getting my place ready for goats this year.

From what I can tell and from my own experience they feed alfalfa pellets and sunflower seeds and then also straight alfalfa hay. And then for minerals i think thats just the salt blocks that you see in the pens here and there. Never heard they do baking soda so i wouldnt know on that but people typically just feed it once in a while or offer it free choice

We did the free choice baking soda but there is ao much waste if you don't pick it up almost daily. We ran a herd of 50 boer/cross and dairy goats, but moved back to Alaska once horse fences are completed hope to start building housing to keep Nigerians, would be my first time with them and also registered as well just for personal use for starters. We'll see, as we're only on 2.5 acres it would have to be a slow start. We are also looking for more property further out than we are now.

Really enjoyed watching you make your soap. I have a book on the process but it makes it look complex. For instance, if one wants a specialty soap it says to make a basic recipe, cure it, then make it again with the special ingredients and cure it again. It calls this a "milled" soap. I've had the book for 40 years and have never tried because it looked too complex and dangerous. Love your channel.
