Hey Pete, the noobish GM was actually me funny enough, and that game was truly one of my terrible plays, I went all in on attacking red the first turn with the hope of holding North Africa onto Orient but my dice were shit and I figured I've to go all in on attacking red since I started the war, but based on how he played I figured he would suicide me for having attacked him first if I let him hold NA with a 4 stacked on my cap, I guess I did not see the South Eastern Europe play but we learn ey

Your first roll was a 10v5cap and you had a 68% chance of winning it (rounding up is 69%...nice). Your follow up roll was a 6v3cap (assumption) and had a 60% chance of winning it. IMO "shit dice" in that situation is losing something 80% or higher, though I'm interested to hear others' opinions.

@@Quintaviusthe odds of losing both rolls are low though, 30% of 40. Overall 88% chance of landing 1/2 rolls. Id say in a vacuum it wasn’t a bad play. Second attack was justified by lack of fortify, last opportunity to seal him out.

I think when pink saw your cry emoji and well played after black took the African cap they went looking to see if they could kill you expecting you to be weak. It's happened to me before an I stopped doing it for that reason. I also try and find out what's up when I see it. As to a collaborative effort I have no idea.

Only 20 mins in but I don’t see anything sus about black and magentas play. It seemed timed because they both saw you get a 3rd cap on your 3rd turn. That was a sure sign to them that you were overextended. Better to attack the overextended player with a god-start than let them stabilize and snowball.

Just curious Pete. How likely is the Black "bot" out was actually tied to the report and they were actually banned and removed from the game? Seems more likely since you have ties to the game and maybe look at your reports more seriously and black left within 2 turns of the report, and subsequently pink was also botted from the same report later in the game?

I start to feel the rankings are not related to skill. I mean - I am intermediate - which is about right, but then I have only actually played 20 or so games, however having consumed countless hours of KP I feel intermediate is about right : ) ... but I could easily grind my way to expert or master (maybe even GM) given enough time and I really don't consider myself to be particularly good.

The rankings are definitely related to skill There's a big time component as well. The thing you're noticing is that the term 'gm' refers to a player somewhere in the middle of the skill distribution rather than at the very top

You deffinitely need skill to get gm, you need enough skill to get a higher placement when games treat you terribly, and that requires quite some skill and consistency. You may have gotten a lot of knowledge from watching Pete, but you still need to screw up smaller things 100s of times to actually become good. There are some important skills you don't really learn from watching (one I struggled with the most was forgetting to check for all aspects of the situation, and for example I forget to check if opponent has a set and that ruins my whole genius plan) and just need to game them out.

Sometimes he'll say black when he means white or vice versa, which wouldn't be affected by colorblindness. I think he just mis-speaks the color a lot when explaining. Thinking of one color but saying another.

new to the game but been watching for a while just won against 2 gms, they were both at the end, me and the one i neighbor caped card blocked the other when i knew i had enough troops i had a kill guard on iceland then set his cap free man ran out like a wild dog breaking everything the other ran after the kill that i sadly stole and ended up cap running cause i could not keep up with the speed managed to line up all my spread troops to slam his last cap

In the early game Magenta could have smelled fish when you did the cry emote. They also could have reacted to multiple attacks done on your turn indicating you were taking a stronger position and wanting to keep you from generating. Lastly Magenta may have just been bad. Later when black breaks both you and blue in the same turn it def seemed way more sus.

This game was outrageous in probably every risk possibility/outcome ever😂 1. pete should've got teamed on when failing the black kill 2. failing the black kill 3. blunders to fortify the blue cap 4. magenta had to go to the grocery store from a slow victory 5. blue was a fetus with a phone 6. white was a GM! what a rollercoaster of events😂

I think magenta attacked you because you emoted. They were either looking for a cap that was weak, or made the play because he knew if he broke your bonuses, you wouldn’t have enough to take them, and break them.
