As an asexual person who fits into all the most common Ace boxes, I love seeing diverse Ace experiences. The Ace spectrum is a lot more broad than most imagine. Also, I wear black and white rings (when I'm in a safe environment to do so) to represent my Ace and Aro identities. To most people it's just jewelry, but to people who know, it can mean everything.

Being a straight passing lesbian teenager, I had to cut my hair short to feel gay and to present like one. But as I have grown up, I realized I'm gay Regardless. I did feel comfortable and confident in my short hair but I was feminine regardless cause people be forgetting it's a lesbian person regardless. I'm growing my hair out now and I love it

8:39 True. HRT can change your sexuality. And it's not just testosterone. For example, I'm a trans woman. Before being on estrogen, I would have considered myself more bi/pan. After being on it for a year and a half, I'd still consider myself pan, but I'm definitely leaning more towards the lesbian side/attraction to femme people. On the other hand, the trans woman at my trans clinic had the opposite experience. So she was more attracted to women prior to transitioning, but became more bi/attracted to men after transitioning.

Let's pretend we don't have any established institution of science and live in a tribe of 100 ppl. we want to develop spoken language , and so we use language to map on to material reality. out of the 100 ppl it seems like the biggest difference is split down the middle, so you adopt the terms male and female. 1000 years later ppl get really confused and they make up a word that describes the "societal roles of men and women" divorced from material reality. well you have a problem in that the terms male and female and all other terms that are determined by this binary refer to an observable material reality, not chromosomes because in this hypothetical we don't have science. so you use the terms to refer to the societal roles of people or rather something that is not based in material reality, but the problem is that those terms are based on how someone looks and thats the only thing they are based on. Therefore you cannot get past the fact that any terms that refer to ppl's "sex" DO actually indicate societally imposed roles--and the roles are that you look either male or female. the "social construction" IS the social construction of the sex binary, absent of any scientific findings. there is nothing else to these terms. if you are a male the social construction of your identity is that you are male, so strictly speaking it's categorical so being transgender makes no sense . for example, you could play for the Lakers and then later go play for the Miami Heat--the social construction of you is that sequentially you played for the Lakers and although you would go on to play for the Heat, at no point prior to that was the social construction of your identity that you were a Miami Heat player, even if you wanted to play for them your whole life.

Also a thing that often changes for people during their menstrual cycle! It's common to be more attracted to "masculine" traits during ovulation, for example. (For me personally, it means I am attracted to men literally only ONE day every month 😂 But for many it's more subtle, like being more drawn to deeper voices or things like that) Being on birth control pills can also change your attraction pattern!

I originally came out as bi , then a lesbian, then a straight trans guy, then I realised I was on the ace spectrum, but eventually I figured out I was bi the whole time , just I was a bi guy not a bi gal lol I am a proud trans man who is demisexual bisexual and it took a while to figure out but I am so much more comfortable within myself now I figures it out ♡ This video was great as always ❤❤

Miles McKenna put out a video on the T to liking men pipeline; I'll do my best to relay the info, I'm sorry if I don't word it quite right. The leading theory is that being with men pre-transition ties into gender dysphoria (since it's expected of them to be with men because of their AGAB). So once they're further into their transition and dealing with less dysphoria, they can explore more without feeling like they're betraying themselves. Also! Dysphoria causes a lot of depression and that suppresses so many things about yourself.

In regards to attraction changing when you start T, it's also a similar experience for trans women starting E. I don't think it's our sexuality changing, so much as we feel more comfortable in our bodies once we have the right hormonal balance. For me, I was kind of attracted to men before hrt, but it didn't feel right while I was living as a man. Once I transitioned, it felt so much more right to be a woman attracted to a man. Not to mention just feeling so much more comfortable in my sexuality in general.

Okay so for the trans man liking guys after starting testosterone. I am a queer trans guy and i can almost definitely say it has to do with being comfortable enough to actually allow attraction to men to be an attraction instead of only jealousy. The classic do i want to be him or be with him? The answer for transguys that are not comfortable is be him. But after they get comfortable 😏
