He's definitely doing something, I'm not quite sure, but what matters most is that he made her laugh and didn't give out to her for "crying for attention" like some parents might do. I love how he uses his "powers" in such a positive way. Look at the scenario... At the beginning she was crying for attention. During, she learned that he knows it's fake, but after it all, she ends up having fun and is laughing about it all. I love it!
